Conversations with Lickle Toni: “ That Killer Piece”

The story is I have a lot of friends that are music producers but they’re all too professional to record and produce an amateur like me…. with good reason obviously hehehe. This weekend I decided to take matters into my own hands coz I’ve been craving to express myself musically. I used the basic software that comes with my computers operating system and I created this track. I sampled an instrumental from the “ Beach Lounge Mix” and edited it to suite my concept (once again using the basic operating system software and some plug-in). I recorded the vocals by taking a video on my web cam (had to find various environments with acoustics to could enhance the poor quality microphone) and then converted the videos into audio formats that I could edit on the music software. I mastered it and added sound effects to get the sound you’ll hear. All the vocals you’ll hear were done by I and I.

Please comment and don’t hold back, I was really just playing around so I won’t take criticisms personally. I just found it really encouraging to know that people can create a sound with nothing but their laptop.  I mastered the track through my headphones so naturally it would sound better on a good set of headphones…either than that, happy listening and expect to see the video soon, it will be also be produced only using the basic software on my operating system….. Just because we can.
