It is great to hear Vin and Kate broadcasting again. This first episode of their new podcast allowed Vin to delve deeper (prompted by Kate's great interviewing) into personal stories that he's touched on during his long, illustrious radio career. I always felt that the great relationships that Vin was able to develop with the artists he helped to share with his audience was based on his own willingness to share his personal stories and feelings with his listeners, something that great artists also do. It is difficult opening your inner feelings and experiences to the world, but by doing that it allows artists to connect to their audience through common bonds. That's always been one of Vin's strengths. I can't wait for future episodes and hearing more about Vin, Kate and their father/daughter relationship, as well as their thoughts on the world around them. It feels like I've been reunited with friends after a brief respite (Vin's radio retirement).
