In 1984, Brown released a number of singles in her own name, her main hit was "Somebody Else's Guy" (later rerecorded in 1997 by CeCe Peniston), Alongside her contributions to other people’s music, she also had great success with her solo efforts in the mid-80s, writing this club classic with her sister and the infamous Love’s Gonna Get You. During the 90s she moved to London and has continued to sing on the best house and disco hits, from Nuyorican Soul to Todd Terry, letting everyone know that disco never went anywhere.

Inspired from a friend that dedicated this song to his girlfriend, we decided to do this re-edit from the track written by David Paich, released on Toto's self-titled debut album in 1978. After adding new drum layers, fills and a new groove to the original, our Vintage People version turns into a 104 bpm r&b disco ballad.

We re-constructed the track in two parts filtering the beginning of the original and leaving in the background the original drums of Al Jackson Jr, a legendary Soul drummer. We added new snares, recorded new chorus and added rhodes in the end to preserve the gospel feeling. Made and dedicated with love.

Back in 1991 Originally titled "Pay To Play", Kurt Cobain wrote the song for the Nevermind Album and Bradley made the cover with The Menahan Street Band launching it via Vinyl, 7", Single, Limited Edition on Daptone Records in 2012.

We deliver you a new edit from an 1982 "Perfumed Garden", a song created by The Rah Band with heavy drum machines, funky bass line, female vocals and a beautiful cosmic boogie-synth atmosphere.

This fictitious studio group was masterminded by Richard A. Hewson, a jazz funk that worked with artists including Supertramp, Diana Ross, Carly Simon, Art Garfunkel, Leo Sayer, Al Stewart, Chris DeBurgh, Fleetwood Mac and Chris Rea.

For us this is a gem and should be played in ethereal moments.
