Description: Façade is about relationships that many of us experience in which we find ourselves consumed by a desire for things to be as they could be. If only we tried harder and forgave easier, only to realise that unless our aspirations align, we are deluding ourselves and all we can do is scream.

This debut track is about loyalty. The progressive piano & sultry saxophone heard throughout, guide you through a story, describing the modern-day accessibility to romantic temptation. 'Dessert's' climax is a messy and strong-bodied conclusion to which listeners may relate if they have been in the protagonist's shoes. This track highlights the importance of monogamy, and the fragility of trust, in any relationship. 

Written in 2019, around the peak time of online dating in my social circle, 'Dessert' should evoke a complex cocktail of human feelings and emotions promoting self determination and choice. Similar to those found by my friends during this period.

We wanted to be faithful to the natural talent of the musicians as much as possible during the recording of this song so that it could be replicated live. The piano, saxophone, guitar & bass were recorded in the studio live creating this upbeat & stompy composition.

This song is unapologetically pop and fun with a catchy back beat which is something of an earworm. This summery track evokes feelings of holidays in the sun, dancing around your kitchen and smooching your loved ones. Made to make you feel good, this happy song expresses how people feel about their partners and the love that's shared between them. 

I wrote this song in 2015 aged 14 - which is a touch saucy for that age but my nerdy budding teenage years, allowed me to imagine what it might be like to be in a relationship. I was then able to live vicariously through my music. 

During production, we wanted to create a real bubbly track that can evoke feelings of elation & delight. Inspired by the action of bobbing one's head upon hearing a song, this track is packed full of sound nuggets that add to the playful nature of this piece and warrant a second listen, so as to not miss any. Similarly to my previous track 'Dessert', this song was produced so that it can be replicated live without losing too much character.

'Bakers Boy' conveys the gameplay & complexities in relationships one may endure when finding out what characteristics a perfect partner must possess. Narrated by a confused protagonist, & tossed about in the stormy seas of passion, the vocalist reveals the consequences of those actions.

Far from tipping it’s hat in approval to the alpha male misogynist it instead weaves a narrative of unrequited love and concludes that real men commit and take responsibility for their true feelings.
