Ron Albrecht stands behind the decks of the most iconic clubs on the planet. His sets are deep, uncompromising, and emotionally charged – a captivating fusion of contemporary techno structures and the raw, honest roots of electronic music. With an exceptional sense for dramaturgy, he reads the energy of the dancefloor and guides his audience on an intense, almost meditative journey.

But his story goes much further back – deep into the early days of German techno culture. In the 1990s, Albrecht was more than just a DJ; he was a cultural pioneer. In 1994, he founded Gerberei in Schwerin, a club that quickly became one of the most important venues for electronic music in the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. For nearly two decades, he shaped the club as co-founder, organizer, and resident DJ – providing a stage for both national and international artists, far from the major cities. At the same time, from 1995 to 2006, he ran the legendary record store Easy Traxx, which became a hub and source of inspiration for many DJs and music lovers. It wasn’t just a place to buy records – it was a space where attitude and taste were curated, rooted in a deep understanding of vinyl culture and sonic aesthetics.

In a personal interview with Andre Kronert, Ron Albrecht talks about his first encounters with electronic music, the magnetic pull of Berlin’s early club scene, and the pivotal moments that shaped his path. As the founder of the event series "Frauengedeck," she provides a platform for female DJs – not only in legendary Berlin venues like ://about blank, Salon zur wilden Renate, and the Kantine am Berghain, but also internationally, from Armenia to Georgia. Since 2016, Sabine has been a vital part of the OYE Records team, curating club events, in-store performances, and hosting the OYE podcast series.

The German Detroit Techno Authority. He is a DJ and producer who embodies the essence of Detroit Techno, House, and Electro in Germany like few others. Since the 1970s, he has shaped the electronic music scene with unwavering dedication to vinyl, uncompromising sound, and a profound understanding of the roots of the music he plays. Already in the 1980s, he laid the foundation for his musical identity. While most DJs drifted with the mainstream, Bachor remained true to his taste – always shaped by influences from Detroit and Chicago and with an unyielding focus on raw, unpolished sound. His sets are characterized by stylistic diversity and meticulously curated records, with the passionate vinyl collector effortlessly moving between Soul, Electro, Acid, and House, captivating audiences with his deep knowledge and absolute authenticity. In 1991, he launched Psycho Thrill – a project that manifested the essence of underground techno and electro in Germany. Here, Bachor regularly brought legends like Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, Kevin Saunderson, Kenny Larkin, and Derrick May to Germany, establishing an unshakable reputation as an ambassador of the true Detroit sound. For him, this culture means more than its musical genres can convey. It is a space for self-determination and escapism, a statement against blind commercialism and superficiality.

Mathis aka "the intern" is a DJ and producer who has found his musical home somewhere between dusty jazz samples and raw hip-hop beats. Rather than coming from the classic hardware school, he grew into music production through software – but his heart soon gravitated toward the analog. With a refined sense for musical finesse, Mathis digs through crates of forgotten records from around the world, always searching for music that moves, for that special moment that tells a new story. His approach to hip-hop is not just technical but deeply emotional: sampling as an art form, a tribute, a reinterpretation.

Currently, the intern is working on a new project with Otis Mensah, building on their joint debut "Before The Noise My Cousin" – this time with more live instrumentation and even more soul. the intern makes music for people with open ears and open hearts – discovered from the past, lived in the present.

Yet instead of clinging to nostalgia, Mareena continuously looks forward, digs deeper, and explores new sonic and emotional spaces. With a finely tuned sense for atmosphere, she creates a sound that unfolds gradually, reveals layers of complexity, and fully envelops the listener. Her musical signature is marked by warmth and attention to detail, shaped by an intuitive understanding of contrast and dramaturgy.

His label, Bladehouse, which he co-founded, is a reflection of this philosophy. Established with the goal of releasing music beyond fast-paced market cycles, Bladehouse has become much more than a platform for tracks. Her musical fingerprint is unmistakable, as she weaves acoustic jazz elements into danceable beats and creates an atmosphere that is both gentle and driving, rich with organic detail.

This distinctive blend has earned her appearances alongside artists such as Dan Shake, Daniel Avery and Detroit Techno Militia. With a colorful selection ranging from nu-jazz and disco to house, organic grooves and tightly layered, dance-focused rhythms, Juno builds dynamic arcs that feel both sophisticated and instantly captivating. Since moving to Berlin, Juno has been gaining increasing attention. In her conversation with Andre Kronert, she reflects on how the city has shaped her artistic approach and why Berlin has become a fertile ground for her ideas. Here she developed her own event series, including “Jazz on Toast” and “Burnin’ to Blue”, both of which celebrate jazz-based club culture while exploring new ways to connect live sensibilities with contemporary dancefloor expression.

Alex Ketzer is a visionary electronic artist, DJ, and graphic designer from Cologne, best known as the founder and driving force behind the Noorden label. His sound fluidly shifts between ambient, micro-house, minimal techno, and textured downtempo, weaving moody atmospheres, meticulous sound design, and emotional depth into a distinct musical identity. Releases like Fern and Fourth Face showcase his ability to balance tension and serenity, futurism and warmth. As a label operator, Ketzer has shaped Noorden into a tightly curated hub for high-concept electronic music and interdisciplinary art. The imprint is celebrated for its DIY ethos, independent spirit and carefully crafted physical releases with highest aesthetic demands. Vinyl, cassettes, and hand-stamped editions reflecting his love for tangible listening culture.

In our interview, Ketzer speaks about this affection for nostalgic media and how it also informs his visual work. As a designer, he plays a key role in developing the Matter of Fact vinyl pressing plant’s corporate identity, bringing the same sensitivity for form, texture, and storytelling that defines his music. He also shares insight into another creative pursuit: Jaja Du Jour, the wine distribution business he runs with his wife. For Ketzer, selecting bottles parallels curating a label. Valuing patience, craftsmanship, personal relationships, and the joy of discovering something worth sharing.

Robag Wruhme is one of those rare artists who turns a DJ set into a living, breathing story. Born in Germany as Gabor Schablitzki, he’s been shaping the sound of modern house and techno for more than two decades. Always with warmth, swing and soul. 

Known for his deep connection to the Pampa Records universe and his roots with the Wighnomy Brothers, Robag’s music is defined by warm analog textures, swinging grooves, and an unmistakable sense of humor. Closely linked to the Pampa Records family, Robag represents a scene where emotion matters more than trends. His long-standing presence around labels like Pampa—and earlier, the influential Wighnomy Brothers universe—helped define a playful, left-field approach to club music that still resonates today. With his own imprint Tulpa Ovi, Robag created a space entirely on his own terms: raw, intimate, and uncompromising, releasing music that feels like diary entries written for the dancefloor.

What makes this mix special is its purity. Robag Wruhme plays exclusively his own productions, weaving together different moods, tempos, and aliases into one coherent journey. No shortcuts. No fillers. Just his musical world, told from the inside.

In our interview, he talks to Andre Kronert about the way he builds his music in delicate layers, obsessing over tiny details that often go unnoticed but shape the emotional core of a track. He opens up about his unconventional studio mindset, trusting intuition over rules, and moments where the process itself becomes unsettling, when sounds take on a life of their own and lead him into unexpected, sometimes frightening territory.
