Maidstone-based veteran selector Tomas Bexton - hot on the heels of his recent appearance at our last event @ OverDraught in Levenshulme, Manchester - here delivers his 3rd mix contribution for Avenue Red. This time Tomas is keeping things on the firmer side, with some icy blasts from the past in the world of deep, pulsating abstract techno. Feel the turbulence.

"Obviously delighted and honoured with a third appearance on the musical vortex that is Avenue Red! My intention was to do something different to my other Avenue Red sets and attempt a dub-techno mix. However, this was the result.

I went digging back into my humble techno collection, with some of the records featured purchased when I was still a teenager. Recorded in one take using 100% vinyl, this is about as hard as it gets for me. I hope that it resonates... big love to the global Avenue Red crew!" Tomas Bexton, May 2025

The Dub Explorations Series itself has well surpassed 130 shows, all at least 3 hours in length which is an insight into the dedication they have for hunting underground Dub Techno and Deeper Detroit Tunes to showcase and promote. They have also increased their output with 2 new mix series'. Firstly, 'The Quadrasphere' where many genres are showcased by some very talented artists, and 'The Frontier', which is an invite only mix show.
