VU dug through its collection into the deep, soulful, and timeless sound of Detroit's Patrice Scott and his influential Sistrum Recordings label. Known for warm textures, analogue depth, and hypnotic grooves, Sistrum has shaped a unique corner of the underground—where deep house, techno and spiritual atmospheres meet. These records stand the test of time!

This mix accompanies our interview with Patrice (see the Blog on www.vinylunderground.co.uk) and explores his signature sound, from early Sistrum classics like “Atmospheric Emotions” and “Beyond Deep” to later gems such as “For My People”, “Detroit Upright”, and “Moments & Concepts.” It also features the the essential Patrice Scott remix of Mark E’s “Rain.”
