Brooklyn rhymesayer Maffew Ragazino has come together with The DJBooth to bring listeners his latest street album, Brownsville’s Jesus.

Presented in two sections titled The New Testament and The Old Testament, the project packs a total of 20 original jams from the Northeastern phenom. Included are reader-approved singles “Never Ran, Never Will,” “Box Office Smash,” “River Phoenix” and “Got 2 Love It.”

Action Bronson, Heems, Kool AD, Skyzoo, Spazz One, Torae, Troy Ave and more make guest appearances throughout the set, which packs production by the likes of !llmind, B!nk, Foreign Allegiance , Harry Fraud, Vinyl Frontiers and more.

Samen met dochter Amber Flux heeft Kraantje Pappie de track VRGTNTTGNTNVRND voor vader John Flux gemaakt. Hieronder een greep uit de toelichting van Kraantje Pappie in #ARKALARM:

Nu zit ik in de auto onderweg naar Solar Festival. En heb ik net een zo goed mogelijk beeld proberen te schetsen over een van mijn vrienden waar voor het liedje hierboven is gemaakt. Waarom? Mijn gabber is ziek. Heel ziek zelfs. Ik krijg weer kippenvel als ik terugdenk aan het moment dat John mij even apart nam om te vertellen dat ze kanker geconstateerd hadden. John had, voor hij wist dat hij ziek was, één van de zinnen uit mijn liedje met Doe Maar als levensmotto omarmd; 'Vergeet niet te genieten vriend'. Zo ontstond de hashtag #VRGTNTTGNTNVRND. John vertelde me dat hij ziek was. Ik vroeg; "wat nu?" "Het kan snel gaan Lex, dus 'vergeet niet te genieten vriend'".
