Very pleasant to listen to. great use of space. your non-OSC stuff is 100 times more accessible than OSC stuff. is that by design?

It has such a melodic, nostalgic feeling, very different indeed from your usual OSC composition. I really like it, it’s soothing 🙂

This is my contribution to OOOSC03. I had a lot of fun to use a few instruments that I don't normally use! Don't be stingy with suggestions for improvement! ;)  

I used a couple of Kontakt guitars and a bass and then ran them through Guitar Rig 6. Voices are from Emvoice.

Also used Hilowitz's short bass/decent sampler, kontakt piano/raum, my hammered dulcimer, rutger hauer, six sines, and questionable vocals.

OOOSC 3 Tears in Rain

Lovingly created for the Out of One Synth Challenge for March '25. Challenge with this one was to use a provided drum loop and no other percussion. Bit of an experiment here using channel strip plugins and emulated mastering hardware. In addition to the drum loop, this features a Jupiter 8, OB-1 , Lush 2, GX-80, Octave Cat, a bunch of Thorns, Rhodes v8 and bx Oberhausen. Some harmonics courtesy of Hendy Amps The Oven. Mastering with an Amek Mastering Compressor and Knif Soma EQ and more warming with TEAC A-6100 all kept in check with an inevitable KClip3.

Title comes from my frustration at trying to render this out and failing. Much effort later and a studio emulation plugin swapped out, and here we are.

I created this song in the last few days, it was a busy month. The synth itself is a decent one, could be someone's first synth as it's designed to learn. The controls are pretty basic and the FX section lacks some crucial parameters (like low/high filtering for reverb/delay). The synth has its own character though. It's reminiscent of 90's virtual analog synths with that characterful phase restart effect when unison mode is turned on. I could even make some cool rave sounds with it.

Asgardian Rhapsody [OSC #197 Odin2]

My entry for KVR Audio's One Synth Challenge 197, featuring Odin 2 by The Wave Warden. Really enjoyed this synth. I tried to capture the feeling of driving west on State Route 161 through my hometown in Ohio, and out into the farmland beyond.
