Veleno Viola is proud to announce a podcast series hosting EBM/Synth/Wave/Industrial/Electro artists.
First episode is from Yuega, pseudonym used by Nicolò Stefanelli, a Bologna-based (IT) dj and producer. His project started years before the 2020 pandemic, releasing limited-edition DIY tapes. Now he lurks in the lowest depths of the Italian Underground.
His music is an updated version of the 80’s electronic experiments, a crossover between the paranoia of the current clubbing scene and the roots of electronic music, a journey into an underground world, filled by nostalgic impulses and modern concepts.
An interpretation involved in this life-long passion.

Second episode of the Veleno Viola podcast series is from Wien-based Gonzo, the man behind "Disco Al Dente", a Soundcloud channel publishing Italo-Disco/Synth-Pop mixes. 

"After Francesco gave me an excellent contribution with his "New Year's Wave Special" for my disco al dente podcast series, I felt responsible to dig deep in my library to construct something special for Veleno Viola. Beside my deep desire for obscure italo disco, there's also a dark & shady side in me, which now has been revealed. Be prepared for a straightforward tin-soldier commando of robotic hammer synths and endless mono action which reflect "Proto" Techno in it's pure form. This dedicated selection was collected in a period of over 15 years and reflects my interpretation of alter ego GONZO, entering foreign territory to spend nasty nights in other spheres!"

She's an Italian Berlin-based emerging dj.
She had her debut in Tbilisi, London, Barcelona, Athens and Berlin.
Recently she played in a magical garden in Rome for Sound Tales Electronic Festival - in collaboration with Montreux Jazz Festival - and she has been interviewed by Couleur 3 Radio.
Her sound is a mix of New-Wave, Synth-Pop, Proto-Italo, dancefloor-oriented EBM, 80’s Electro and 90’s Trance.

Fourth episode is by PARASITE, the electronic music project of Kurt C Calleja. The fusion of techno, post-punk and EBM with industrial textures, produce the hectic yet bold rhythms that define his work. Often creating ominous and unsettling atmospheres, his use of quivering basslines and pulsating beats paired with distorted synths and decaying vocals evoke dystopian imagery entangled in visceral impulse.

Veleno Viola Podcast #4: PARASITE

Blackmoon77 (Feral Colony, Discos de Quebranto, Melodies Souterraines, Veleno Viola) has been a DJ/ sound experimentalist and member of the L.A. underground since the 90’s. A life long music junkie, she has been influenced by mostly the obscure and underground sounds of early Synth, industrial to Acid house music. Blackmoon77’s music productions reflect the unique perspective and authenic understanding of experimentation with  sound and texture. Recently she has released an Alpha Sect remix she produced with her partner Mick Wills on Veleno Viola. As a special tribute Blackmoon77’ has specially curated a journey through music of the Masters of angsty overtones from her favorite machine mutants, wave punks and melodic maniacs. Enjoy.

Italian dj raised in the outskirts of Geneva, Pastram steps out under the banner of Cruel Machine Booking. 
Distinctly drawn towards dark atmospheres, Pastram developed a strong focus on raw rhythmics, assuming an intense form of communication where cathartic echoes and cold synths become intricate. An intense musical fusion of the past and the present transcending the line between body music, grinding post-punk, industrial, and wave.

Veleno Viola Podcast #8: PASTRAM

Hailing from the decaying industrial town of Sisak in Croatia, LE CHOCOLAT NOIR aka LCN has been performing as a DJ and producing music since 2000. With releases on Berlin label She Lost Kontrol, Helena Hauff's Return To Disorder, Gooiland Elektro, Frigio, Kraftjerkz, Charlois/Pinkman and many more, he is a model unrepresentative aiming for his utopian dream(s). LCN also releases and performs under alias FIUME, with releases on L.I.E.S. from NY and Panzerkreuz/Bunker from Holland. Born in 2018 with the throbbing sound of Moog DFAM, FIUME is about futurism, Haïtian vodou and African rituals, about love, magic and mysterious occurrences.
LCN is a member of bRAVE collective from Zagreb, hosting events since 2017, bringing fresh underground sound to the Croatian capital, with previous residencies at Zagreb Queer Festival and Ljubljana Elektroliza.  Having played at countless events from Brasil and USA to Japan and primarily in Europe, he also performed at Dekmantel Selectors, Dimension and Exit Festivals, as well as at Intergalactic FM Festivals. He is also releasing under alias Honored Matres and has been producing/releasing music in the prolific duo BLACK DOT with Christian Kroupa since 2021, with EPs released on KRI, Mechatronica and the newest one on Italo Moderni. 
For the past ten years, LCN has been selecting and playing a wide range of music in his radio show Disco Panonia on The Hague based Internet radio Intergalactic FM.

Veleno Viola Podcast #9: LE CHOCOLAT NOIR

Active in various scenes since the 90’s, from days as a grafitti artist, to the emergence of techno in Europe and buying his first Akai 950 and Atari ST-1040, Milan-based Andrea Riberti is a live artist and producer with his roots cemented in early rave culture, drawing from the wake of Post Punk, Industrial and Body Music. 
As a project, Unconscious surfaced in 2013 to further experiment within electronic music, acting as an outlet to communicate raw, post-industrial sounds.
Earlier works under the alias were aimed within the techno field, with traces of EBM, such as 2016’s “Codex Gigas” EP on Berlin-based Advanced, and 2017’s sophomore album “Chaos Theory” on Moscow based, NEN Records. Proceeding releases on SARIN’s X-MG, Marc Ash’s Blacksilk, Berlin-based Instruments of Discipline, AREA Z and Detriti Records, began to define an evolving course, closely identifying within a new wave of EBM, cutting raw and nostalgic sounds with sharp modernity.
Unconscious’ live and hybrid performances are aimed at the fully body, moving dancefloors with a charged and sonorous strain of dark electronics operating on the fringes of body techno, acid, wave and italo.
