“Hipnosis, a piano album to heal…”

Hipnosis is the debut album of the Argentine pianist Violeta Reynal, based in Barcelona.
From the opening track, the album invites us into a meditative state and this is no coincidence, as she composed each song by cutting fragments from guided meditations she improvised for her tinnitus patients. Violeta had tinnitus in 2019 and designed her own mind and body healing treatment using the piano to access very deep states of relaxation and recovered 9 months later. She then began guiding other people in the same situation and the piano became her treasured healing tool.

This album is the perfect fusion of her life as a pianist from an early age and her training in psychology and mindfulness meditation, resulting in a delicate range of sounds that invites you to step out of time and inevitably go within. The title refers to the subconscious space between wakefulness and sleep, amidst peaceful soundscapes where healing is possible.
Working with music in her clinical approach made clear to her the power of piano vibrations to direct the mind towards different states of consciousness, peace and love.

Violeta chose Puma Records, the independent label she shares with Costantino Vela, to release Hipnosis. This album became her artistic refuge in this new stage as a resident in Barcelona.

"Melodías Hipnóticas, un Viaje Sanador en Notas de Piano..."

Hipnosis es el álbum debut de la pianista argentina Violeta Reynal, residente en Barcelona.
Desde la canción de apertura, el disco nos invita a un estado de meditación y esto no es casualidad, ya que ella compuso cada canción cortando fragmentos de las meditaciones guiadas que improvisó para sus pacientes con tinnitus. Violeta tuvo tinnitus en 2019 y diseñó su propio tratamiento de curación de mente y cuerpo usando el piano para acceder a estados de relajación muy profundos y se recuperó 9 meses después. Luego, comenzó a acompañar a otras personas con el mismo síntoma y el piano se convirtió en su preciada herramienta de sanación.

Este álbum es la fusión perfecta de su vida como pianista desde temprana edad y su formación en psicología y meditación mindfulness, dando como resultado una delicada gama de sonidos que invita a salir del tiempo e ir inevitablemente hacia adentro. El título hace referencia al espacio subconsciente entre la vigilia y el sueño, en medio de apacibles paisajes sonoros donde la sanación es posible.
Trabajar con música en su enfoque clínico le dejó claro el poder de las vibraciones del piano para dirigir la mente hacia diferentes estados de consciencia, paz y amor.

Violeta eligió Puma Records, el sello independiente que comparte con Constantino Vela, para lanzar Hipnosis. Este disco se convirtió en su refugio artístico en esta nueva etapa de residente en Barcelona.

Un instante de inspiración, te puede cambiar la vida para siempre. Una mañana me senté a tocar el piano y empecé a recitar una meditación. Mis dedos iban solos y mi mente recibía lo que tenía que decir, sin pensar. Ahí supe que ese era mi don, mi parte más autentica y honesta y quería compartirlo con otras personas para transformar su vida y la mía.

Sounds Healing - Meditacion Módulo 2 - Oxigenar El Cuerpo

“Woman in blue” is the first single from the debut album "Hipnosis" by Argentine pianist Violeta Reynal to be released on November 19th on Puma Records.

This song takes us back to Barcelona in 2021. Violeta was asked by Julieta Ayllón and Ana Gallart, an Argentine painter, to play live music in the artist's exhibition at the Argentine Consulate in Barcelona on Women's Day.
The night before the exhibition, she began improvising on the piano inspired by Ana´s “Women in Blue”: their blue dresses, their worn out faces and the lovable mystery created in every brush. From that improvisation Woman in Blue was born.

This song invites us to close our eyes and imagine the most important women in our life, meeting for the first time on the seashore, sitting in a circle with their bare feet on the sand. Their eyes meet, celebrating the love that unites them.

"Woman in blue" es el primer single de Hipnosis, el álbum debut de la pianista argentina Violeta Reynal, que se estrenará el 19 de noviembre de 2023 bajo el sello discográfico Puma Records.

La historia detrás de esta composición nos lleva a Barcelona, en marzo de 2021, cuando Violeta es convocada por Ana Gallart, artista plástica argentina, para musicalizar la exposición "Mujeres Azules" que el Consulado Argentino organiza por el Día de la Mujer.

La noche anterior al evento, Violeta se sienta a improvisar en el piano, entregándose por completo a la inspiración que le provocan las musas de las obras de Ana Gallart con sus vestidos, sus rostros latentes y su misterio.
La melodía comienza a brotar, mientras le vienen imágenes de su propia madre, Matilde, quién ya no está más en este plano, pero a pesar de ello, sigue siendo un pilar inevitable para Violeta en su camino como pianista. Cuando toca el piano siempre siente su presencia.

Esta canción nos invita a cerrar los ojos e imaginar a las mujeres más importantes de nuestra vida encontrándose, por primera vez, sobre la orilla del mar Mediterráneo. Sentadas en círculo con los pies descalzos sobre la arena.
Se miran, se saludan entre palabras y largos abrazos. Sus ojos se reconocen, a pesar de ser su primer contacto físico. Quizás el cuerpo recuerda lo que la mente ha olvidado. Risas desaforadas, pelos al viento, miradas de complicidad y sabiduría, celebrando el amor que las une.

When I think of this song, it takes me back to the memory of Mar Azul, my dear Italian friend who travels the world with her harp ...

We met a few years ago at a spirituality congress in Villa La Angostura, Patagonia Argentina (the place I chose as my home for so many years). I was coordinating the selection of artists who would participate in the meeting and the music connected us.

One September afternoon in Barcelona in 2022, between chats and anecdotes, we sat down to sing and play the piano, when she said to me "Could you improvise a song thinking of Patagonia?" And so it happened.

I closed my eyes and began to see very clear images of the Patagonian forest, on the edge of the famous Nahuel Huapi lake, and the mental pictures were leading me to the Machete river. The lichens on the rocks, the water flowing down the waterfall, the majestic coihue trees rising up to the sky...
I surrendered to such immensity and burst into tears. A part of me is still completely connected to the mountains and will ever be.

Cuando pienso en esta canción, me lleva al recuerdo de Mar Azul, mi querida amiga Italiana que recorre el mundo con su arpa …

Nos habíamos conocido unos años atrás en un congreso de espiritualidad en Villa La Angostura, Patagonia Argentina (el lugar que elegí como mi hogar durante tantos años). Yo coordinaba la selección de artistas que participarían durante el encuentro y la música nos conectó.

Volvimos a reencontrarnos una tarde de septiembre en Barcelona allá por 2022. Entre charlas y anécdotas, nos sentamos a cantar y tocar el piano, cuando me dijo “¿Podrías improvisar una canción pensando en la Patagonia?” Y así sucedió.

Cerré los ojos y comencé a ver imágenes muy nítidas del bosque patagónico, al borde del famoso lago Nahuel Huapi y las fotos mentales me iban conduciendo hasta el río Machete. Los líquenes sobre las piedras, el agua que baja por la cascada, los majestuosos coihues alzándose hacia el cielo…
Me rendí ante tanta inmensidad y estallé en llanto. Una parte de mi sigue completamente conectada a ese lugar. Cuando eres de la montaña, nunca dejas de ser de la montaña.

Así es la Patagonia…“

The third single from the album Hipnosis arrives with "Circus", a return to joy...

On her 30th birthday, Violeta is going through the departure of her mother, her best friend and a difficult personal separation. This crisis crumbles her serious, responsible and self-demanding character, which did not allow her to enjoy or be happy. Looking for a way to express all that pain and transform it into life, she returns to the piano in a professional way. 

Circus is that four year old girl playing in her family´s garden in Buenos Aires watching the butterflies fluttering around her, feeling the scent of grass and flowers, while the sun shines on her under the apricot tree. That same child who took her first piano lessons every Monday afternoon after school.

This composition by Violeta invites us to ignite that spark of life and travel back in time to our childhood.

El tercer single del álbum Hipnosis llega con “Circus”, un retorno a la alegría…

Al cumplir sus 30 años, Violeta atraviesa la partida de su madre, su mejor amiga y una difícil separación personal. Esta crisis derrumba su personaje serio, responsable y autoexigente, que no le permitía disfrutar ni ser feliz. Buscando una herramienta para expresar todo ese dolor y transformarlo en vida, ocurre su vuelta al piano de manera profesional. 

Circus es esa niña de cuatro años jugando en el jardín de su casa en Buenos Aires mirando cómo revolotean las mariposas a su alrededor, sintiendo el aroma a césped y flores, mientras el sol la ilumina bajo el árbol de damascos. Esa misma niña que tomaba sus primeras lecciones de piano cada lunes por la tarde. 

Esta composición de Violeta nos invita a encender esa chispa de vida y viajar en el tiempo a nuestra infancia.

About 2 and a half years ago @sarcasmo_music asked me if I wanted to collaborate on this track “Control “with my voice, 6 months after arriving to Barcelona from Patagonia, Argentina. At first I hesitated because he told me he needed it fast and I was moving in and out of 3 different apartments in just 4 months before moving to the house I live in today. My temporary apartment was full of boxes and my mood was far from creative. BUT I’ve heard many stories from different songwriters and musicians saying that the vocals or melodies just “come” in full form and all you have to be is OPEN AND READY to get it all down on paper. THIS WAS MY CASE. 

Then @mainleaf_music came with a beautiful remix ( Luca is also the owner of “wood record label”, which I already listened a lot before I met him )🥂 and UNEXPECTEDLY an amazing artist who I follow for years @blancahmusic decided to release Control on her label @hiatomusic . She is also @warungbeachclub resident and an amazing artist (she draws the album covers too).

Release date: Nov 22nd - @hiatomusic on all platforms.

Hace 2 años y medio @sarcasmo_music me preguntó si quería colaborar en “Control “con mi voz, justo 6 meses después de mudarme a Barcelona desde la Patagonia, Argentina. Al principio dudé porque me dijo que lo necesitaba rápido. Mi piso temporal estaba lleno de cajas y mi estado de ánimo distaba mucho de ser creativo. PERO ES MUY CIERTO para muchos artistas las voces o melodías simplemente “vienen” de forma completa y necesitas estar ABIERTO Y LISTO para plasmarlo todo en el papel. ESTE FUE MI CASO y estoy muy feliz del resultado chicos!!! 👼

I was asked to compose a track for a small documentary for the first time. I was really surprised of what came out. I played it on my steinway & sons grand piano from 1924 in Patagonia, Argentina. Hope you enjoy it!

Violeta Reynal started performing as a singer and pianist at the age of 5. She became part of the classic piano scene and when she turned 30 began composing her first piano album Hipnosis. Electronic music became her passion as a teenager, thanks to her brother who introduced her to Chemical brothers, Moderat and Pink Floyd. She pursued a career as a dj in 2016, while living in Villa La Angostura, Patagonia Argentina. Later that year she started throwing parties in town and created a duo called Biotech Patagonia, where she improvised the vocals live, right on stage. In 2017 they had their first european tour and started producing their own tracks in 2018, where she would compose the synth arrangements and vocals. In 2017 she began producing vocals and piano arrangements for electronic artists like Mariano Mellino (Sudbeat) and Oostil (Afterlife). 
As a composer she´s working on her second album Reyna where she adds her voice to the piano. She is currently living in Barcelona, Spain with her cat Puma.
