ABOUT THE MIX:

I originally created this mix in October at Breidenbach Studios for their 10th anniversary. Since this venue is one of my favorites in Heidelberg, I collected all my favorite songs of the last year to give everybody a happy time on the dance floor. <3

It also represents in a way my development as a DJ - combining “the old” with “the new” because I started incorporating different genres that you probably wouldn't associate with the disco sound I usually play and have been listening to a lot lately. But don’t worry, you will get a lot of disco as well. Let yourselves be surprised and I hope you like the podcast as much as I do.

ABOUT YOU AS AN ARTIST

Franziska Frizzante leans heavily on golden-era disco, vocal- and classic house - all in one go & always in for a surprise bag moment. Growing up in the 90s with a huge variety of music genres she listened to excited her selector-mentality to create a fluid and versatile composition that reflects her current state of mind she wants to share with the audience.

Played live at a wedding at Nowhere (the European Burning Man) this set was a celebration of love and fun, dedicated to the happy couple.

It ended up as a blend of elated house, funky stuff and some nastiness. You'll find familiar tracks and some of my favourite unsung classics, steadily speeding up as the energy picked up.

This was a midnight transition set, moving through genres and picking up energy to take people from a deep evening into something a little harder and faster. Some new releases, some classic digging finds, and plenty of familiar favourites (it was a birthday party after all). 

This set was the first live airing of two upcoming tracks for Michael (at around 1:02:00 and the closing track). We'd love to hear what you think. More to come.
