Submission for Remix Firefly 2108. All sounds derived from samples recorded at Firefly.

The production was all done in-the-box in Bitwig Studio. Initially I approached it as a sound design project, so I started by putting together a drum rack with some of the obvious sounds - boom kick (the firework), hi hat (lighter flick), snare (barrel bang), and a few others. The drums came together pretty quickly with the initial beats composed using a Beatstep Pro and captured as MIDI in Bitwig. From there I began to flesh out the arrangement. I was definitely feeling a drum and bass / broken beat vibe as I had a really good experience this year at the DnB throwdown at Camp Lamp and wanted to memorialize that in my track.
