Mori Ra strikes back at MM Discos with “Gaia Edits", after the successful release back in May on the label of the “portuñol” duo, Da Silva and Dj Katah welcome again Osaka’s best record collector with 4 new high quality editions. 

Staying loyal to his eclecticism, Mori Ra approaches this time a lil more to the dancefloor by doing a more hedonistic work than his previous release on “MM Discos” , an exuberant “disco-no-disco” exercise mixed with ethnic references, wicked percussion, charming marimbas and an endless of psychedelic elements. 

A record done for the soul; spiritual, mystic, highly addictive and 100% danceable. A very special release where the Japanese artist has involved his son who helped with choosing the sound source for this record.

Los Angeles based imprint Velvet Bikini delivers a new album by The Jack Cardigan Orchestra and Joseph Matick this May, entitled ‘WESTERN PINK’ and comprised of ten original psychedelia infused compositions.
Arranged and performed by “The Jack Cardigan Orchestra and Joseph Matick,” a web of performers and contributors from 10 years of ideation, the collection of tracks that would eventually make up the album arrived in the inbox of Velvet Bikini label head, Luke C., amongst 50 other recordings, voice notes, scenes, and random auditory captures. The folder of audio sketched out a fascinating compendium that was cut, compiled, and edited by Luke into an LP that plays out as the current oeuvre of the ‘WESTERN PINK’ filmic universe.
Like its overarching film, the 10 tracks touch on symbolism and prophecy via intriguing takes on ambient, noise, outsider folk, psych rock, and trip-hop adjacent grooves. It’s a unique body of work that offers an esoteric aesthetic designed to captivate and challenge.
‘WESTERN PINK’ will be available digitally and as a limited-edition VHS and cassette release.
Joseph Matick is a Paris-based poet and filmmaker. ‘WESTERN PINK’ is his first offering for Velvet Bikini C/O Avec Jack.

smoke and lasers create a mesmerizing ambiance. The tracks are characterized by relentless
four-to-the- oor kicks and shimmering arpeggios, aimed at inspiring movement in the hips.
Additionally, the release features outstanding remixes from Al Mackenzie, renowned for his
work with D:ream, along with newcomers to the label, Ben Hunt and Julius.
In essence, "Many Times" serves as a testament to Ian's versatility and skill as a producer. It
showcases his ability to captivate listeners with a dynamic range of sounds and atmospheres.
With this release, Ian continues to establish himself as an artist who is pushing boundaries and
leaving a lasting impression on the electronic music scene.

We were quite fan of mid 2000's Padded Cell releases on D.C Recordings at LYO and followed Richard Sen solo efforts since then. Richard Sen's last outing on [Emotional] Especial - the bleep revival brilliance of "Songs of Pressure" - was something of a stone cold killer, so hopes are naturally high for this belated follow-up. "Resistance Through Rituals" here premiered digs deep for inspiration, doffing a cap to the starry futurism of Detroit, psychedelic acid and the drum-machine driven jack of early Chicago house. Vinyls, and its splendid artwork, will land early march in all fine purveyors retailers of good music

Here after a long time the first EP release on Best Record containing new unreleased music. Afrodesia project born from a close collaboration between Periodica Records and Best Record featuring @mysticjungle & @mannywhodamanny.
Afrodesia took inspiration from the italian afro-movement that lasted for few years during mid-eighties especially from those songs produced at the legendary Les Folies Studios in Milan. Afrodesia sounds balearic boogie afro and cosmic with heavy use of original past synths and drum machines programmed and played by Dario di Pace, Raffaele Arcella and real acoustic instruments thanks to the musicians : Giulio Neri (Tenor Saxophone and vocals), Andrea Farias (Guitar), Davide Di Sauro (Bass) and the late George Aghedo (Percussion).
