None of these songs are new, but I gave her permission to use them.  As you can hear, they are quite a bit different from my usual tracks.

Lazy Afternoons

This was more of a test when Omnisphere 2's granulizer feature was announed. I took a vocal sample from a pop song demo that came with FL Studio and stretched it WAY out and played it across different keys. 

It reminds me of a bright golden sunset sending a warm, yet mysterious message.

Mysterious Wish

This is a song I made back in 2018. I heard this patch and this is the song that came out after playing it a while. 

It starts out a bit sad, but there is a meassure of hope. Sometimes, it's okay to sit with yourself and think for a moment.

Rainy Weekends

The modified date says 2017, but I feel like I made this earlier. I think this was made for something else, but never got used? 

I think of a dark cave, but it's more quiet and peaceful. than creepy. There are small glowing green and yellow crystals  jutting out of the stalagmites and stalagtites.

Sheffield Shores

❄️ An instrumental cover of the hymn In the Bleak Midwinter ("Cranham") by Gustav Holst. I put a rompler-heavy spin on it, inspired by the music of Bill Wurtz! ❄️ ♫

While making this, I was picturing the scene of a kid receiving a little old Casio keyboard for Christmas in the 2000s and trying out all the sounds. The majority of sounds I used are from the Roland Sound Canvas VST, some are from the Korg M1 VST, and others are soundfonts. I had a lot of fun with production stuff like reverb, bitcrushing, mid/side EQ, compression and panning on this one!

Gustav Holst wrote his hymn using the words from the poem "In the Bleak Midwinter" Christina Rossetti. The hymn was published in 1906, so it's public domain!

My track for The Story of MIDIport! This is actually based on a much older sketch from late 2020. Throughout the first half of the track you can hear chopped up waves sounds. This was in the original sketch, and I was inspired by Nokia's Feather alert which I heard for the first time back then, which also uses that effect.

Fast forward to 2024, and I've started the MIDIport project. After some pondering, I eventually decide to take that older sketch, adapt it to Nokia's large bank and build upon the composition further. The 11/8 section is actually reworked from a sketch I had previously written for this project. As for the composition itself, it's like jazzy R&B with some influences from 70s electronica and IDM. I hope you enjoy it!

Working with Beatnik Editor + loopMIDI is a pain though. :(

Caravan Boomer is a new shooter for MSX2, It uses PSG and MSX-MUSIC sounds. This game was developed by N.I & BO DSGN.(@bo-dsgn)
The song was used on the title screen of the Caravan Boomer Caravan Edition. Uploaded for the launch promotion.

What's a ViRiX?
ViRiX is the Virtually Interfaced Radial Integrator Extension, also known as the Core. It is a fourth dimensional  semi-sentient device that creates art and integrates it with the planet. AKA: My imagination personified. There's an entire story based on it, yeah I had way too much time to think about this.  :P
