Some people compulsively seek love and attention from external sources, a behavior often rooted in deep-seated insecurities and the need for validation. The compulsive search for external validation makes them appear selfish and unreliable, further straining the relationship. Ultimately, this behavior can create deep rifts in their most important relationships, which are difficult to mend, leading to loneliness and regret when they realize what they have lost.
