A best-of selection of MIDI music composed between 2002~2010, refurbished & re-recorded in 2022. A 1997 Yamaha MU100 XG multi-timbral MIDI synthesizer module was used for the generation of all sound. Tracks 6, 8, 11, 12, 14 & 15 also use a PLG100DX FM expansion plug-in board.

1915 - Extranjero (Toni Leys Remix)

Original composition! I used a MIDI keyboard to play a text-to-speech with random syllables, then processed it through neural synthesis, layering over the separately-processed General MIDI backing track.

Yesterday I figured out how to make Riffusion sing on purpose and consistently, by using a free text-to-speech VST plugin, AlterEgo, as the guiding outline for the model to do its work. The same "realism enhancing" effect Riffusion has on chiptunes can be used on regular MIDI files or even text-to-speech voice. 

That is, we can now make vocaloid-type synthetic singers sound more "alive" in artistically interesting ways.
