Reasonable Force

After diving to the deepest floor of the sea, after all these years in hibernation, the shroud of forgotten is falling off. There will be signs on the lost horizon. But before you unveil what's happening, it will be all too late... IT is back. 

The surface trembles in silence, unaware of what brews below. The rusted chains of memory begin to snap one by one, echoes of ancient warnings clawing back into being. In every still reflection, in every moment too quiet to be safe, you will feel it — the presence watching from the fold between time and pressure. The tide has started to listen again.

And as the winds forget their direction and the stars blink with doubt, something older than fear itself rises. What once was locked away in myth now seeks a vessel — not to speak, but to become. You will not notice the change at first. A shadow a breath too long. A chill in the wrong room. But soon, the world will remember why it forgot.

First up, Dutchman Trinist starts the engine. Following stunners on Program and VALE, ‘Transmute’ flips from a heavenly opening to skittering, skidaddling neuro energy in a matter of seconds.

Once an annual album dedicated to the very forefront of new-gen electronic talent, now a regular series of EPs. Still dedicated to tomorrow’s talent. Still championing the most molten, innovative fusions and unpredictable sounds. Still plugged directly into the unpigeonholeable side of bass music. Just much more regularly…

I began making music on an Amiga in the early 90s and, after moving to Cubase on PC, had commercial releases with Digital Breaks Foundation (breaks) and The Sect (drum and bass) between 2003 and 2017. 

I started having fun creating music on an Amiga again in 2023, entering into the demoscene, winning tracked music competitions and releasing my album 'Reconnection'. 

The foundation of my Amiga tracks comes from working hard on production and sound design within my current DAW, Bitwig. I plan to release new drum and bass tracks in 2025, some of which might be in the style of The Sect, some of which might not :)
