Virtual Underground : What things and people inspire you most?

Wanton : The person that inspired me the most is my mentor from my first education Staf Verbeeck. Not only did he show us the passion and all his tricks in recording and mixing bands and music, he showed me how to be someone in the music world. The most humble and helpful person I have ever met. He taught me that you should do it because of the passion and not for fame or money. Do it because you love it. His story inspired me a lot. The next person would be Ignace Dhont. In addition to the first education, I did a second education in Utrecht Holland, named Sound Education, where he was my teacher. Next to all the amazing people I met and spoke to in the music industry, he focused on making us strong in our mindset. From lesson one he gave us speeches about believing in our ourselves. He brainwashed me into a positive guy with a strong mindset. And for me that was the best thing he could teach me, because it made me inspire other people to go for their dreams and believe in theirselves. Next to those 2 guys I get inspired by all the people around me. My friends and people I meet during my journey.

After being a techno institution in Germany for 10 years now, the renowned Lehmann Club finally
starts his own label called “Lehmann Musik“. The label aswell as the Stuttgart based club represents a
wide range of techno music. The philosophy of Lehmann Musik is to show a cross section of the
Lehmann agency artists plus of course guests and friends of the club.
Dark days actually for our scene and culture. We are guessing everybody is going through a lot of
struggles and mixed emotions at the moment. As for the most in our industry and scene - we as
Lehmann Club - looking into an uncertain future. Depending on how long this crisis will last, we not
really know how it will go on afterwards. So we called some of our dearest „old“ and „new“ friends,
past guests and our residents to create these „Save our HOME“ compilation. Were very thankful for
the support and appreciate this a lot.
The 005 reflects again several vibes and moods of the current techno zeitgeist – plus some
excursions through the fields of non typical 4-to-the-floor club sound.

19.Inhalt Der Nacht - Mein Leib

CYNKT is a 23 years old Utrecht based Techno DJ and producer. At the age of 17, he got sucked into the Techno scene after attending a Soenda Indoor event. After a while, he went to so many parties, that his love for the underground Techno scene increased exponentially. He didn't plan to start making music himself at all, but at an age of 18 he bought his very first DJ gear. For two successive years, he'd been mixing (almost) daily with friends in his small student room or at afterparties. Due to all the dancefloors that he'd experienced, the crave for a legitimate gig grew.

In the last few years, he started defining his own style. Being inspired by artists like Stranger, Kobosil, Paula temple, Rebekah, Tommy Four Seven, and Remco Beekwilder, his sets tend to be fast and raw but are intermixed with long melodic breaks and lots of vocals. He aims to take his audience on a musical journey by playing old techno tracks from the '90s and 00s, EBM, Rave, Melodic Techno, and even some old trance and hardcore. 

During the past years he has spent more time producing. As a result he slowly moved towards a signature sound, which is heavily influenced by 90's techno and hardcore. Lately respected artists like Rebekah, Paula Temple, 999999999, SPFDJ, Cynthia Spiering, Raffaele Attanasio Klangkuenstler and Inhalt der Nacht are playing his music.  
In addition, cynkt came out on the Posession Techno organization.
