Morning recording for fun. Needed to get back to my home of house after a while out of the vibe. Couldn't help but throw beyonce in there. Great set for a bar / restaurant after they close and the crowd wants to dance.

Summer Season finale of Primal Disco where the beats of the music and the beats of our hearts were in total synchronicity.

The birth of Medicine Disco: a healing dance practice with some edge. 20 minute guided physical and non physical warm up precedes an energetically graduating set. The overarching theme of the cues and the sound is for those to oscillate between intention and detachment. AKA, giving a fuck on purpose, and not giving a fuck on purpose.

MEDICINE DISCO DEBUT - Cued Version

Cued warm up till 18 minutes. Then, the dance starts. A facilitated set to go from ground to space back to ground with cues on the mic to keep the endurance up and the awareness big. Full body awareness. We weave in and out of intention and detachment, meaning throughout the dance we tune into what we are dancing for and then let go of that and allow the dance to do something to, with, for, or through us. 

Written exercise prompt before the dance: "list 1 part of your body that is the loudest, the easiest to be aware of, list 1 part of your non physical self (emotion, thought) that is the loudest, easiest to be aware of, list 1 part of your body that you can barely notice, it's dormant, list 1 part of your non physical self that you might have forgotten about (a personality trait)"

A celebration set chock full of house, vocals, afro beats, trumpets, and tons of hills and valleys. This was a love fest party for a monumental year for myself as a dj and event producer.

Primal Disco 1YR Anniversary 11.25.23

An inspired set for a muse (and aMUSEment). It's rare to find people that share such particular tastes in such a precise way. This was quickly thrown together just so I can share ONE song. But I couldn't share the song without making an entire set ahahaha.

The Audacity! Debut marks the day upstate NY shines the brightest light on the queer, the near queer, and the near and dear to queer. Where we dress to express, not to impress. Where we co-create not intimidate. Where we get louder and louder about the parts of ourselves that don't get to be at the surface during "normal" life. Michael V of Primal Disco and David Cruz (Jams Bond) of Kingston Techno swap back and forth throughout this 4 hour sonic bliss with ease and excitement.  They are a force together, you can hear it. 

This is a 4 hour sonic orgy of house, afro house, eclectic, hip hop, disco, and more.

Good Grief

Rolling with more pop tracks than usual, I had a blast playing to a boisterous crowd of LGBTQIA+ folks of all shapes, sizes, and ages. This is a cheerful set with some 5th and 6th chakra outbursts.

The return of Primal Disco. It's like that good feeling when you get spanked and it's not too hard and not too soft. Still leaves a red mark. Lot's of ins and outs and pulses and stretches and celebrations and rough housing. So so good.

An improvisational set with some cute throw backs (gotta love lil kim). Had a hilarious moment with the crowd when the track stopped midway through. ahahha. Was a fun connection point. The human-ness of it all! I love this party.

Mid afternoon on a Saturday. Lounging at the pool. Gave these folks a mix to peak their curiosity and contemplation on what they might want to do later in the evening. Lot's of stuff in here, including a fun mess-up in the middle. It's good to be human.
