Music For Change is proud to present “The Curio EP”, an exploration of the outer realms of techno from Eora/Sydney based producer Viscera, with remixes from fellow locals Kushkusshhh and BERGA.

Title track “Curio” combines fluttering, polyrhythmic bell chime sequences with otherworldly atmospherics, underpinned by a driving low end groove. “Fortuna” leans into more driving territory, incorporating elements of ambient and drone into a techno framework. The final original track, “Kismet”, is a low-slung, percussive roller with unique sound design and sample manipulation.

Kushkusshhh increases the energy of “Fortuna” even further on his remix, stripping the drums down, filling in the space with hypnotic sequences and metallic sweeps. BERGA’s shuffling, syncopated remix of “Curio” adds psychedelic guitar twangs and heavily processes the original’s lead sequence into a reverbed bedrock of off-kilter percussion.
100% of profits from this release will be donated to Books In Homes, a charitable foundation that provides books-of-choice to children living in remote, disadvantaged, and low socio-economic circumstances, ensuring crucial early literacy engagement and the development of reading skills needed for lifelong achievement.
