I like the feel and the soundfonts used here i feel like i could reasonably hear this in an old rpg for the ds or something

im just gonna be upfront, all the strange activity such as the "chrysalis" upload and Chaos Desire being messed with was supposed to build up to a super cool thing but i just lost steam. i spent all day trying to get any progress on said thing, it was gonna be a complete reimagining of chaos desire, but i just ended up... editing the original file a little. so um. yeah. sorry i think

One time, when I was very young, I was on my own and decided to explore around this big mountain we had close to our neighborhood. Back then, everything was connected, there was no hassle in the idea of having to make our way home. I remember climbing up it, looking at the sky above on its peak, how little everyone looked below me. I did not spend much time that way. As I went down the mountain, I stumbled on an opening to the mountain. There was a cavern inside, an opening which even with the bright light, I could not see my way in. I have always been a very curious person, perhaps sometimes foolishly. Heading inside, I was faced with something that made me completely freeze. There was a pit inside the cave, a place so large, especially to my younger self. I stood there, felt myself nervous around it, but I was too young to understand why. I was so captivated by it. The kind of feelings it made me feel, standing there, knowing if I had made the wrong step, I would surely never get back out. The compelling power of something so simple, so understandable even to myself at that time, had me standing there, sitting there, for so so long. By the time I was outside, everything was dark.

This track is actually a mashup of various other tracks from this soundtrack but distorted and heavily modified, like Ruins, Enemy Approaching, CORE, etc. I wanted this song to be an actual amalgam by itself, so it also switches keys and time signatures much like Here We Are. I was also inspired by Ash-Veil Lane's ARG (?) for making this. 

As a fun fact this is one of the songs that went through the most changes, with this being the fourth version I made. Hope you like it!
