As much as I rub my cheek and nose into a pillow
As much as I curve into a ball in a darkroom
What I bring to myself is only a ghost of you

As much as I sift through pictures
As much as I relive the moments of the moon
What I cling onto is the mere idea of you

As much as our collective imagination rolls
As much as we go back to our bond's roots
What I look forward to is the unreal you

And you ain't here
And you ain't real

Logically I make you up
To fulfill a void only I can feel
I'm a great architect in the fictional world
Drawing from details that were real
Your touch, your scent, your facial twitches,
Your intrusive hair, your intent so clear,
Your micro expressions, your habits,
Your weight on me and your tears
A long list of details that haunts me, delights me
So many annoyingly nameless things that I feel
Only because you are you

Is it because unfulfilled love is abnormally romantic
Or because you are not really you
I don't mind the burning, I was born a fire
But some wiring in my head suggests that I continue to love you

And with every day that passes
It's harder to believe that you're true

Broken Bones - NOTQUiETSOUND

This track was made for Amygdala Anomalies 3 years ago. An audio-visual project by the amazing Sajid Wajid. He created abstract creatures and asked musicians to make music for one creature of their choice. I chose this one (artwork) and it looked like a type of spider to me, hence the name KUMO.

Sung in complete darkness and without music, this was an experiment to see what came through my voice when I felt the void, as I traversed the inner scapes that connected the void with consciousness, visits from darkness to light and mellowly to darkness understood again as it birthed out this melody.
