Artist/Band Singles and Album Production - Showreel 2018

Formed in January,2010, Shades Of Retribution has an old school death metal base , deriving influences from the Assamese culture and the other regions of North-East. This being said the lyrics are in Assamese and are in context to the never ending quest for survival in this region. They released only one album in 2010 called "Xongram", recorded and produced by my good friend Siddharth Barooah of Lucid Recess Studios, Guwahati.

The boys contacted me to produce their new single "Byortho" in 2012. By the time we were done with songwriting of this track, Vedant, vocalist of the band(my ex bandmate) and Abhijit(my cousin) guitarist of the band requested me to play and record the drums because their drummer had exams and wasn't able to learn the drum parts at such short notice. Hence, i ended up recording and playing drums myself. I used to follow Gene Hoglan and Paul Bostaph a lot during those days and so i tried my best to keep some of their signature styles in this track. Hope you guys enjoy.
