A little slower than my usual. About 128bpm ending at about 146 in a 2.5 hour span. This was in a beautiful Tea House in Austin, TX. Wasnt a giant  gathering but a perfect crowd of trippy individuals. They werent even dancing to the beat, but moving to the psychedelicness of the music! Gotta love it. Git-r-done!

I´ve always been interested in music and since about 10 years my fascination applies to electronic music. But especially the world of Psychedelic Trance with its powerfull Basslines and beautiful soundscapes and also colourful decorated Parties and Festivals got my fascination. 
So I got in touch with digital music programs and tried to put my own imaginations of Psy Trance music into my Tracks. 
That´s how it came to my solo project “Nioka”. 

At the moment I have two projects I am working on. 
First is “Nioka”. Here I pack all my ideas of Psychedelic Trance music into my Tracks. I try to compose a unique style in my music with sometimes even surprising moments on the dancefloor. 
Recently I founded my new sideproject “Manoj”. In that project I experiment with new styles and it goes more into the electro, experimental direction with melodic and atmospheric influences but I dont want to put it in a certain genre because I would say it has its own touch.

About:

My name is Simon and I started listening psychedelic music already 1996. A good friend of my father visited us and brought some music tapes from his last stay at Goa. He is one oft he first guys who listen psychedelic trance music at Goa. My father wouldn´t like it  very much, but I was 15 years old and interested in electronic music. I catched the tapes and thought only wow, that is the music what I was looking for. From that moment I listen and played psychedelic trance music.
After I while  we started our own private/underground partys and I became a DJ. At the beginning we mixed music with the tapes, but switched then to MD Player and finally CD`s. Over the years I met more and more people from the scence, and went to festivals.
The most important for me is  that the sound is always psychedelic, that is why I love this music. It doesn´t matter which genere, but it needs to be psychedelic. Of course my music style changed over the years from psychedelic trance to Full On, Progressive and finally a mixture of psychedelic and forest. It´s hard to describe my own style, but I would say it´s a morphing, pumping psy  music  street where you end in a forest 
Also very important for me is my connection to Thailand, there I have a lot of good friends!
They gave me many possibilitys to play music at one of the beautifulst place on world.
I learnt a lot from Sabai Sabai, he is for me still one oft he leading Psy Dj´s in our scence!
Further my girlfriend Corinna (Djanne MissVerständnis) influenced me with her style of music and it is always great to share music with her. Last year we played many times back to back and this is just wonderful to spend time toghether behind the decks!

Vishwaatmaaa, a Bombay(fuck mumbai) 2 Brooklyn native, has been involved in psytrance since the mid 90s at the old skool parties you could only find with handwritten maps. He was an active participant on the dancefloor then as a stomper who wouldn't stop until the party was over. He does that now too but with breaks to collect himself in the boring ass scene that is are just sad leftovers of a bygone era.

As the founder of the legendary 6362MetaForce psytrance collective, he started throwing real psytrance parties in New York in 2005. His journey has taken him through performances creating labyrinths at parties & festivals in North America, India and Europe spanning over a decade. He creates night/forestpsy DJ sets with loads of live remix elements – always featuring powerful dance floor basslines & beats to take you through the intricate mazes of structured sounds. Each one is a unique journey through that moves your heart and head along with your feet through a psychedelic labyrinth of beauty, power & boom. 

Vishwaatmaaa lets you out before you are ready to dive into another maze again! The DJ & remix performance platform is his vehicle to deliver high-power energy and smiles to the dance floor - Vish is as much a participant in the party as a shaman of the sounds. His journey's take you through intensely woven dreamscapes where new psychedelic experiences through sounds never cease to exist!

Vish also works with wife Rachel on SuKhush ((Live Flute with PsyChill)), which features live instrumentation (flute improvisation) over electronica DJ/Remix sets – constructing special journeys through psychedelic chill-out & uptempo dance & dub tracks.
