This is an ongoing joke in our culture because of a popular movie, that someone will only consent if you buy them dinner first. SO I am making fun of that little rite of passage, because laughter is a rite of the wind...

I'd make it so successful
That I'd rip my old coin purse.

I'd go multinational
As corporations say,
Cooking girls and guys some grub
And when they go away,

OH, Dinner First, 
They'll say to me,

It couldn't be,
A more special, 
thrilling evening,

then everything!

When their folks inevitably
Catch on to my philanthropy
(Destroying most celebacy
And Serving up Dessert),

They'll come around with picket signs
And in their puritan designs,
My aphrodisiacal finds,
Will be tossed in the dirt,

They'll say to me,
Dinner First,
You mustn't see
our most special
generation eat
At Dinner First
We know it means...

A lot of flirty misbehaving
Teasing, and shenanigans,
Next it's kissing then it's shaving,
You can't let young adults in!

But see, I'll argue it's the same
as going to a hockey game,
Cuz' don't you know, to be a gent,
You have to wait for good consent,
And bargain's likely partway spent 
with Dinner First, and that's the aim!

And had no way to find a date,

The frosts so thin adorn the land
Queen Mother's rage accumulates
A crystal skin beyond the sand
And thundering silence on barren wastes

The weather's been so snowy,

I ate some honey-garlic wings,

I should order food by mail.

Today I went out shopping,
To fill my empty fridge,
I asked for rolling papers
'Cuz I like to smoke a smidge,

And took a last chance chocolate bar,
From the end of the check-out aisle,
Put it with my purchases,
And walked out with a smile,

Now, I normally don't steal things
but I wasn't thinking straight,
Shoulda put it on the belt,
And now I'm home. Too late!

So I phoned up that there grocery store,
Embarrased, confessed my sin,
They thanked me for the call and said,
Next time, just add one in!
