Never Enough

'Stay" is a song about fighting for life. I was diagnosed with PTSD a few years ago and ever since then I've gone through some extremely dangerous and dark times where I have felt like I was never going to get to better times. Those times have brought me to the precipice of suicide a few times in my life. I have been so fortunate to have the right people in my life to show me the love and support needed to feel connected to the world and try to get better.

Mental health issues are so complicated and our experiences vary dramatically. I do know that surviving yourself and your wounded mind takes active effort. We never passively get better - it requires action, honesty and self-love. We are all worthy of healthy stability and happiness. If you feel yourself losing the ability to see that, the time is now for you to reach out. It takes so much strength to ask for help. I wrote "Dead Gods" as a response to seeing the acidic vitriol of Christian Nationalism rise in this country, but also as a criticism of religious fanaticism worldwide. I've been an anti-war activist for some years now and through my experiences with that I've found that religion is often used as justification for the ugliness of war. Dead Gods was written as a challenge to that mindset. 

May this song serve as vigor to your efforts of subversion and resistance to those who use their religion to jusifty real horrors in this world.

Originally released in 1980 by the UK band Ski Patrol, "Agent Orange" has taken on new flesh, as Vision Video projects the song (originally about the Vietnam conflict) into modernity. The song is in outright protest of the current state of America and it's regime, with it's obvious connotations. The song maintains it's original post-punk escalation, but with a new darker veneer.
