It was my brother’s birthday yesterday, and seeing as 50 Cent is one of his favourite artists, I wanted to drop this remix this week. He’s been home from university the past few weeks and has been playing a lot of his music, which put the idea into my head to remix one of his verses, I don’t know why but I’ve actually never done one. It’s mad to think on that, because Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ was the first Hip Hop album I ever bought and listened to all the way through, so it’s a long time coming for me to make a tribute to one of the best tracks off that album. 

The sample for this beat is also from a movie that we watched a lot as kids, I'll be making that bait in a youtube upload of the instrumental with visuals from that movie, but it isn't the right time of year to be dropping that yet.

I’ve already dropped the 2nd flip in this beat with a De La Soul acapella over it, I was unbelievably gassed on that at the time, and I still think it sounds good so I didn’t want to redo that particular remix. The 1st flip I never actually remixed or dropped though, so I started off this remix by using that, but instantly knew I had to also use the 2nd flip for a switchup, it just fit the verse too well I had to do it. I did end up adding to the drums to make this one different, I think it works better simply because the drums hit harder now, and that fits the hardcore vibe of the pitched down piano perfectly.

this song was another one of the earlier songs I made, probably around 2009 again. I was a real fan of "light on the land" by nujabes and upbeat beats in general, so i tried it out. it went through about 7 or 8 different versions, but finally ended with this one. i hope you enjoy it.
