This is the first of my score compositions.
It’s shaped by the Battle of Rezang La, fought on 18 November 1962, and the last stand of C Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment of the Indian Army.
It carries the silence of that ridge at over 16000 feet and the weight of 120 men holding their ground against nearly 3000.

A full orchestra drives the piece. Strings carry the tension and the resolve, brass adds strength, woodwinds offer a brief calm, and deep drums open the space and push the movement forward.

The music moves with courage, sacrifice, and tragic grandeur. It echoes a stand so fierce that more than 1300 attackers fell, leaving behind an undying legacy.
