Josiane was born in DR Congo and a newbie in the DJ scene of Berlin. Her sound varies from leftfield, deep and progressive house, sometimes mixed with melodic techno tracks. When choosing her songs she likes to include new or unknown artists, as well as known ones. With her sets she likes to take people on a journey and to also make them dance. She has her bi-monthly show called "Private Paradise" on komrad (komunal_radio) where she explores to mix different sounds of House and Techno.

Zum drölfzehnten Geburtstag des Blanks durfte ich dort zum ersten Mal spielen, um den Zeltfloor zu öffnen. <3 Lange wollte ich das Set nicht hochladen, weil ich in der Aufregung so schräge Übergänge gemacht habe. Nichtdestotrotz muss ich oft an diesen schönen Moment denken und find die Selection ganz fresh. 

Freu mich, wenn ihr ein bisschen Musik für schwere Stunden zur Seite habt, die abholt und aufbaut.

Wenn man den Sound von @el_sandovas und ihn kennt, kann man sich gut vorstellen, wie ein 16-jähriger mexikanischer Junge Progressive House und Trance in Jugendclubs in Mexiko City kennengelernt hat - sein Mix ist ein Beispiel für den proggy Sound, der derzeit die Menschen auf den dancefloor bringt. 

Mit seinen eigenen Worten:

Ali Wagner @ali_wagner is a multidisciplinary artist who contributed to our festival Kiek Beyond with her mad hatter’s tea party installation and general support during the the build-up. Based in London and hailing from Australia, Ali’s music selection offers a twist of soft, nostalgic sounds accompanied by her love for classic trance records. We are very excited to share this mix of hers. 

With the first part curated to inspire grounded reflections, it progressively moves you deeper with spacious groovers like Saoirse’s “Gentle Romance”. The second half features Ntel’s iconic acid trance track “Melt”, followed by some of her more old school records; leaving you with that euphoric sound she is seeking to bring to every dancefloor.

Nr. 20 is a spicy party recipe 🌶️ 
Solalex took his groovy Y2K tribal tech records and some new stuff out for us and they make a hot mix, which we love!

Digging early 90s progressive records and genre-curious excursions into all forms of groove, Solalex plays a sound inspired by the queer-futurist revolutionary spirit of underground raves. An advocate for the healing power of dance, Solalex blends cosmic, emotional, progressive trance with new age, world influence, organic instrumentation and percussion to cosmically align dancers with the stars and the earth. 

As a gemini and a bisexual man, he experiments with dualities by blurring the lines between genres to shine a light on #bivisibility in the scene and create space for all to dance freely.

US-born, Berlin-based Solalex co-hosts Starseeds with DJ Chichi, a party melding cosmic and earthly rhythms in queer friendly spaces in Berlin. On May 5th, Starseeds will host a Sunday afternoon party at Fitzroy in collaboration with London’s Fast & Bi-Furious collective, featuring Pjenné and Hanaby along with the residents of each collective.

We first danced to a set of his at last years Traumburg Festival, where he casually layered vinyl records to create a unique vibe. Having been passionate about record digging ever since he first got in touch with Brussels’ vibrant underground scene, Edouard is intrigued by all kinds of groovy electronics, often blending mysterious with warm atmospheres.

Acid Spring

With love from @scheissmukke member juan and only: This mix explores the potent force of percussive elements across various genres. Tribal components resonate with my Latin heritage, evoking a primal trance state that I find deeply therapeutic. I'm captivated by the romance between Techno and organic sounds, bridging the 'music of the future' with our primitive musical origins, back when humanity gathered around fires in caves, using sticks and stones to create rhythms for celebratory dances (which is not so different to what we experience today in clubs, if you think about it). I would also like to acknowledge that we wouldn’t be able to enjoy this magical music if it weren’t for Black musicians; it’s important we remind ourselves that we owe Africa much more than we care to admit. I hope you enjoy listening to this mix as much as I enjoyed creating it.
