Originally I just wanted to listen to new vinyls I bought and luckily hit the record button before doing so. Meshing 90s trance with fresh techno was a lot of fun lately!
I had the idea to do a podcast with some friends and here's the short introduction to it. Will probably keep it limited to a couple of other djs, but you never know.

It kicks off with three tracks and one remix of artists performing at Visionskultur's Kiek Beyond Festival: Key Clef, Augusto Taito, Anna Kost and Ireen Amnes. The intro is followed by trance melodies layered over a a gentle interplay of straight and broken beats with groovy baselines.

VisionsCast 002 with Kosmovision

Handle with care! In this mix, @genelle_dj serves what she does best: industrial techno with trancey melodies and occasional groovy interludes. Her sets, while demanding to dancers, provide exactly the release of bodily tensions building up in everyday life.

genelelle found her way behind the decks in 2017. Starting with melodic techno, she quickly discovered her dedication to the faster and darker sound and for now, has found her place to be in Hard Techno. Her sets are influenced by EBM, Techno, Industrial, Rave, and Trance – creating an impulsive and energetic atmosphere. Together with friends she founded @polyphonradio, which has established its reputation with various underground parties - first in Passau and Munich, and since 2022 also in genelelle's new hometown Leipzig.

As co-founder of the feminist initiative fem*vak, genelelle is fighting against sexism in the electronic music scene, while claiming more space for FLINTA* artists. Come dressed to sweat for genelelle at Kiek Beyond 2023!

Visionscast is already 10 sets old! Our anniversary means it's time to meet Visionskultur resident Qualia Trax!
Introducing himself with deep and groovy basslines and housy tunes, Qualia Trax navigates through piano riffs and happy grooves. 
Sounds like something's missing. Indeed, trancy elements round off this thursday dance session with tracks by Subb-an, Boss Priester and Pangaea.

VisionsCast 010 with Qualia Trax

Ending on a very high note, VK Resident Manta closed the Dune Stage at our beloved Kiek Beyond Festival with this legendary set. Couldn't have wished for anything else. Happy to have it recreated for our VisionsCast series to enjoy some flashbacks at home. Emotional moments for everyone who has been there until the end, having memories of the whole Festival Crew on stage during "Gratitude Practice" by DJ Gigola. Opening with an edit of "Deixa a Gira Girar", moving into the iconic Terrence Dixon Remix of Efdemin's "America", Manta tells a story with a lot of different facets. While in the first half of the set Manta builds momentum by drawing inspiration from cultural and political connections, in the second half she delivers the sound you'd expect from Manta if you've heard her play before. Melodic, groovy, deep, acid infused synth lines, spacey pads and breaks. 

Chilean Italian DJ Manta is one of the founding members of Visionskultur and we're incredibly lucky and grateful to have her on board as a human being and of course, as a DJ and creative mind.

Give Me Glitter Mix

In this extended set, recorded at home, @kosmovision presents a musical approach that is finding its niche in Berlin's club culture. The depth, atmosphere and hypnotic layers invite you on a journey marked by meditative interludes and epic surprises. The set stands out because it doesn't focus on A to B transitions but rather evolves organically by introducing more percussive layers and driving basslines which, along with increasing bpm's, are intensifying the experience as the mix unfolds.
