Es ist die Musik jenes Raums, der sich zwischen Ozeanen und Berghängen erstreckt. Es ist die Musik jenes Raums, der viel größer und abenteuerlicher ist, als es die vier Wände eines Clubs jemals erahnen lassen. Es ist die neuste Acker Scheibe, und sie dreht sich um einen Song von Il Civetto. Die Berliner Band ist ein wunderbar multikultureller Haufen. Ihr Sound erinnert an Gypsy, Folk oder Swing und lässt sich doch mit keinem dieser Etiketten beschreiben. So zu hören etwa in Liberté Ana. Monolink transformiert diesen Titel in eine groovige Downbeat-Nummer, deren schleppende Leichtigkeit hervorragend zu einem entspannten Nachmittag oder auf eine Afterhour passt. PopHop macht, was er am besten kann: Er lässt die Fetzen fliegen, wobei seine knackige Bassline und treibenden Percussions jedoch viel Platz für die Seele von Liberté Ana lassen. Umami zieht sogar noch mehr Register und steuert mit zündender Ekstase deutlich in Richtung Stoßzeit auf der Tanze.

It’s the music of the space that extends between oceans and mountain slopes. It’s the music of the space that is much bigger and much more adventurous than the four walls of a club look like. It’s the latest record on Acker, and it orbits around a song from Il Civetto. The band from Berlin is a wonderfully multicultural bunch. Their sound is reminiscent of Gypsy, Folk or Swing, but at the same time it doesn’t really fit any of these labels. Liberté Ana is a perfect example. Monolink turns this track into a groovy Downbeat tune that vibrates much higher than its low BPM count - the perfect soundtrack for laid-back afternoons or afterhours. PopHop does what he does best: Party. However, between the catchy bassline and the tight percussions of his remix there’s still a lot of space for the soul of Liberté Ana. Umami goes even further and creates an ecstatic banger that has everything it takes to be played during the prime time on the dance floor.

We ares proud to present the new release Kusht - Vardo.

When Kusht decided to leave Scotland and explore the world he had no idea of all the great wonders that would come to him, Vardo is his Ode to travel and feels it will touch others who have also chosen a life of movement. A Vardo is a Romani Wagon or most commonly knows as a Gypsy Wagon, the opening Edit on the LP is that of an old Gypsy Love song "Ketri Ketri". Making an entrance "West" shows his want to travel to Latin America and spend time with the countless influences from over the pond. We then take an adventure with "Zorio's Blackbird" flying its way to the top of the mountain where we meet the crazy collaboration between Kusht and his father R Gold with this Acoustic Cowbell Onomatopoeia showdown "Twangklang". Finally we retreat into the arms of "Tarzan" who shows us there can be the strongest of love between two strangers. 

Kusht takes inspiration from all over the world especially Africa and Latin America, he ties them to the sounds of the cold north and his Celtic roots to create a harmonious fusion of cultures. Vardo is organic and soft yet with some room rumbling moments, this is one to enjoy a hot cup of tea on a cold morning sunrise. ​​​​​​​​​​

Belgrade based producer Tebra has been making a lot of noise recently with his ethnic and progressive style, delivering tunes to Serbian label Ritual Records. He joins Art Vibes with two mystical originals, ‘Promena’ and ‘Krug’.
‘Promena’ shows a subtle touch of orientalism through high pitched voices, delicate hand-played strings and a lead violin that ties up remarkably well with the underlying heavy bass and hopping percussions.
‘Krug’ has a trancy side given by a few melodic synth lines and grooves but manages to retain what defines Tebra’s sound signature: traditional acoustic instruments, refined & elegant percussions carefully sent to the right reverb room, and haunting but catchy vocals.
On the other hand, Tunisian producer Haze-M and Aix-En-Provence based artist Rafael Cerato collaborated to give a different interpretation to ‘Krug’. They joined forces and crafted a groovy & syncopated rework creating a whole new reading to the original piece.
Estray, who’s been living a nomadic lifestyle as a DJ and producer, immursed himself into the cultures that he came across while on the road and crafted a n elegant & organic remix of Promena.
Last but not least, the EP is completed with another rework of Promena produced by AsK & Hot Oasis, making the most out of the rhythmic elements of the original, even layering some new grooves for a track ready to be grooved on!
All tracks of this eclectic EP are dance-floor ready and will make a difference either if played slow in a downtempo ethnic set or heavier ones. Mastering: @veytik

Dreamlike and longing, creating a cinematic atmosphere of departure: That's what the Karenz EP sounds like, rolling in as if it was a morning fog over the Bosporus. Just like his home Istanbul is a melting pot of cultures, the studio of Serkan Eles is an alchemical laboratory in the world of music. Using a slowly but powerfully heaving current of beats and bass to create momentum, he adds the sound of instruments and voices that transport a deep, oriental mindset into the consciousness of the listener. Also there's sounds that have probably been recorded on a spaceship orbiting planet Earth. In this way he creates a very subtle and delicate form of psychedelia – and that again is what Timboletti extracts for his remix, capturing it in the close-meshed net of his unmistakable groove.
