We welcome Origin of X to our mix series, with our 12th episode. 

Despite being active on the South East’s underground circuit for over a decade under his given name, the Origin of X project is a conduit to exploring the darker recesses of electronic music. Dispensing with the formula and writing his own rule book, Origin of X is producing moody, malevolent dance music aimed at the dance floor, spanning from house to progressive to techno.
After years of toying with the idea of taking his career in a new direction, experimentation in the studio has given Origin of X the confidence to make and play music that goes against the grain. Music that not only challenges himself as an artist, but offers a fresh musical experience to audiences inside the club.
Interestingly, as much as Origin of X is a future-forward project, it’s also the acknowledgement that he is the sum of a rich tapestry of influences. His parents’ record collection included Chaka Khan and Black Box. At the height of his teenage rebellion, World Dance rolled right through his backyard and an unbridled love affair with rave culture sparked. Initially, it was an infatuation with jungle and D&B, until Pete Tong turned his head in the late-90s with house music by way of his seminal Ministry Of Sound The Annual CD series. A visit to Ibiza in 2000 would cement his passion as a lifelong vocation. Returning to the island yearly thereafter, later, he would get to play there himself.
Today, Origin of X counts the likes of Maceo Plex, Tale Of Us, Cirez D, Cristoph and ARTBAT amongst his modern influences.

Origin Of X - Vision - Lockdown Sessions 012

Local legend, ALLDis brings you number 11 in or Lockdown Sessions mix series!

A musical journey that started with a drum kit and a hand-me-down DJ controller from his older brother, whilst looking up to the likes of Dennis Cruz, UMEK and Nathan Barato, has now sprouted into a career with exciting potential moving forwards with continued backing from house legend Roger Sanchez, as well as support from Hot Since 82, Francisco Allendes, Marco Carola and more. 

AllDis’ productions are heavily inspired by the Spanish and Latin American tech-house scene, with trademark deep rolling basslines, tough drums and acoustic elements for dark rooms and booming sound systems.

AllDis has previously supported house & techno heavyweights such as Eats Everything, Nic Fanciulli, Hot Since 82 and Pan-Pot and played some memorable sets in recent times, such as closing Birmingham’s Tek-Fest under the infamous Digbeth arches, and playing at some of the biggest clubs in the country such as Rainbow Venues, Lab 11, Boxxed and the O2 Institute.

With multiple radio plays on Roger Sanchez’s Release Yourself Radio and Ibiza’s very own UNITED ANTS podcast, and support from some of the tech-house industry’s biggest movers and shakers, AllDis has already got dates in the diary for post-Covid life to bring his momentum and energy to the dancefloor.
