As a starting point for a brief presentation of his understanding of this topic, it is essential to explain that the great theoretical thesis of Spinozism is that there is a single substance, which has an infinite number of attributes.  Thus, all “creatures” are modes of these attributes or modifications of this primary substance, which is God.

 It is noteworthy that, for this philosopher, Deus sive natura, that is, God corresponds to the power of nature, God is nature, therefore, a current, infinite and immanent force, which would justify the denial of the existence of a moral, transcendent God , creator.

 Man is made up of mind and body, and the body exists as we feel it, so that the mind is united to the body.  The understanding of this mind-body union therefore has a very peculiar meaning in the context of Spinoza's philosophy, to the point of stating that the mind can only be known from the ideas of the body's affections, that is, the body's affections are taken as a way of knowing one's own mind.
