First round catalogue number and the first split EP on Visky recordings from Prague. What we have here is a company of two great djs and producers with four soulful tunes perfect for the long warm summer days and nights or cold winters to heat you up.

Tracks on side A are brought to you by the Russian eclectic dj and producer Alexander Lay-Far. Moscow based Lay-Far has already proved his talent with records released on labels 4 Lux, JD Records or with his awesome appearances on Amplified in the Disco In Distress series.

You have surely heard of Matt Flores as well. The man from Düsseldorf, Germany, with his home base on Farside records, recently released an outstanding record on Cinematic. Matt is responsible for the side B containing two tunes with Rogue Moves being a truly club affair.

As always on Visky Recordings, the vinyl artwork is beautifully designed by Jakub Uksa.

After the excellent Boris Hotton’s “Love Is EP“ it is time to present to you the second release of Prague based label Visky Recordings! We would like to welcome warmly the two-men German project Paskal & Urban Absolutes with their “Our Smile In Your Face EP” as a part of the new establishing Visky family. A contribution to the EP has also been made by Farside’s Henry L with his fabulous remix of the title track. 

Despite the distance lying between their hometowns – Paskal lives in Berlin, Urban Absolutes lives in Düsseldorf – they have been releasing high quality house music in form of originals or remixes since 2009 on labels such as Farside, Peppermint Jam, Room With A View or Foul & Sounk. 

The original of “Our Smile In Your Face” is an epic midtempo killing house tune. Paskal & Urban Absolutes show once again their exquisite sensitivity of doing great and emotional slow house tracks. 
With “31 Degrees” as the first track of the other side of the vinyl, Alex & Adrian speed up a little for having a track (not only) for the peak times. This laidback and rolling deep house piece has already been proved as very well working on the dancefloor!
Henry L, the Farside Records homie and an outstanding producer of house as well as drum’n’bass (as one of the members of the project Triad) gave to “Our Smile In Your Face” a totally different vibe with his Chicago house influenced remix. His very own vibe!

The third EP on Visky Recordings will be brought to you by a fresh and talented upcoming producer, dj and music lover hailing from Grodno in Belarus. Alik Khomiak alias Schmoltz has had a long-term affair with music which got him to collecting records and fiddling with music making software and hardware. Growing up as a metalhead kid, he came the disco route and later to be mesmerized by the soulful powerful funky and electric sounds of Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Stars on 45 and whatever else was to be found in the piles of soviet Melodiya records. "My taste in dance music was greatly influenced by the legends and myths of Larry Levan and Ron Hardy, which does not necessarily mean playing all their classic favorites, or god forbid their modern edits. I stick to my old-school guns, dj with vinyl only and occasionally a cd-r with my own tracks and edits. I favor a similar approach in production, analogue or digital dilemma does not bother me as much, as long as the tune has the groove" says Schmoltz who delivered three great jazzy, deep & soulful  tracks for his debut 12inch on czech based Visky Recordings. On top of that the B side offers a remix from Ferrispark label head Scott Ferguson. Scott gave to Raindrops a totally different feel and energy in a way of his own.

Prague’s Visky Recordings continues to present to you high quality music from its fellow producers, this time from the Essen based and highly with talent gifted producer Kai von Glasow. You might know him from his past releases on Terpsiton or Mild Pitch. The Solid Roots EP features three deep and diverse tracks including the interpretation of Solid Angle by the Moscow’s hero Anton Zap. Play it loud!
