TM8 Q: What’s the most bizarre moment you’ve experienced in the DJ Booth?

A: "During my Boiler Room, someone accidentally unplugged the CDJ towards the end of my set and the track went into an emergency loop!! I managed to save it during a mild panic attack and nobody seemed to notice."

Athenian artist MarcelDune delivers this week’s podcast. Influenced by the authenticity of Athens’ underground culture and its tight-knit community, they blend rough, raw and lively textures across their productions, as released on labels on @malaadh, @havenakl, @repitch and many more. DJ-wise, they have played across Europe, including Berlin, Paris, Prague, Perugia, London and Athens, allowing them to share their sound with a growing audience. Working with modular synthesizers, analogue and digital outputs and a collection of unusual field recordings, MarcelDune’s aesthetic is very much their own, full of left turns and eccentric touches. In this mix, they explore playful techno with a bright tint, fusing fun melodies, gritty percussion and kinetic kickdrums.
