I'm still figuring all this out and I know I've got a long way to go.  That said, I'm happy with how this turned out.

Albatross Ghosts

Although no one will ever read this, I still wanted to write about this track a bit.  it might not sound like it (I'm obviously not an audio engineer), but I worked on this pretty extensively.  I even pulled an all-nighter to try and finish it.  This isn't meant to be taken too seriously.  For me, this was a learning excercise with the goal being the creation of a full length song rather than something that was just one idea.  Special thanks to my friend Dave Y. who loaned me the tremolo pedal used on the guitar part.

I pulled another all-nighter for this one (it's now 5:33am), but sometimes you just can't help but sacrifice some sleep in the name of something totally ridiculous.

I actually recorded this one a while  back.  Please excuse the loud popping noise at the end.  I made a shitty edit and I don't know how to fix it....but if you know how to fix it, let's do lunch and we'll talk it over.

I Should Be Asleep Because I've Got Work In The Morning

I have some gear on my desk that had been covered up by clutter.  After clearing off my desk, I was so happy to have access to my equipment that I threw this track together.  It's not great, but I'll leave it up for now.

As usual, something very simple, also very short, but I really like this one.  Came up with this a while ago, actually.

Little Ol' Bassline

I just got an Arturia Microbrute synth and tonight (Valentine's Day, 2015) was the first time I took it out of the box and played around with it. As usual, I don't really know what I'm doing, but I really just wanted to put up something new and wasn't going to let that stop me. Did some messing around in Audicity to get some of the effects.

UPDATE (3/26/15): I keep tinkering with this song.  I think I've finally finished it....or just gotten tired of working on it.  Some vocals have been added.

I've made a lot of mistakes in life.  Too many to count.  Those people that say they "have no regrets"?  I never understood that.

In spite of all those wasted years, I still want to give it a try.  If there's one thing I've learned it's that tomorrow is not a fucking guarantee.  Any way you slice it, I've got a long uphill road.  Here I go!
