The fourth and final instalment of Hospital Records’ popular VA EP series is upon us. ‘Future Symptoms Vol. 4’ rounds off the 2021 release streak with four fresh cuts with some of the most exciting acts emerging to the forefront of drum & bass. This time around expect a full spectrum showcase from Dutta, Viridity, Son, Hallow and xia - the sounds of the next generation.

Opening on a high note, Dutta brings the energy with his latest bouncing roller ‘Set A Level’. Skittery synths and a ruthless bassline showcase his signature sound which he is quickly carving out a name for himself with. His prior experience is not to be left unnoticed, with releases under his belt on Serum & Benny V’s Souped Up Recordings, DnBAllstars and Informal, Dutta is quickly rising to the top.

Hospital Records’ Women In Drum & Bass mentee for 2021 Viridity steps up for track two with a beautifully dark drum & bass stepper featuring her very own vocals on top of her meticulous production skill. Warm your speakers up and get ready for a slew of immersive soundscapes which demonstrate the Bristol-based multi-talented musician’s artistic ability. When she’s not in the studio you’ll be able to find Viridity tearing up stages at club nights and festivals, as well as garnering support from the scene’s biggest publications including UKF.

Son’s ‘Over’ journeys down into the deeper avenues of liquid drum & bass as he marks his debut release in style with a delicately crafted piece of 174BPM mastery. Lose yourself amongst airy pads, sombre vocal chops and crisp breakbeats which seamlessly infuse into a collective stream of soulfulness. It’s safe to say this is a promising debut and the start of something special for Son.

Heading over across the pond to Boston, Massachusetts you’ll be able to find the ambient electronic prodigy that is Hallow. With an impressive selection of music already available to listen to, their Hospital Records debut sees them team up with the stunning vocals of xia who’s also flying the flag for US drum & bass. With the duo no strangers to collaborating, their initial pairing entitled ‘A Walk In The Woods’ was first scouted in Mitekiss’ production feedback streams and received instant support from London Elektricity. ‘Dappled Light’ is a gorgeous follow-up with dreamlike vocals and uplifting instrumentation.

Rounding off the final edition of their widely loved Future Symptoms EP series, Hospital Records have proudly shone a light on and nurtured some of the scene’s most prosperous talents. “Shaped to You” is the 1st ever full release single from a talented new artists, Son and Enliza. Son made his debut with “Over”, a beautiful track that appeared on none other than Hospital Records and this track now comes out on Sigma’s BeatsBassLife – a sure sign that this guy is a talent to watch out for.

However, it doesn’t stop there. Son is, in fact, a man of MANY talents. By day, he travels the world as an award-winning Cinematographer, Film Director and Photographer. Not only did Son co-write and produce “Shaped To You” but he also produced the artwork and shot a stunning music video which you can find on Liquicity's YouTube Channel. Son doesn’t just create music, he creates an entire artistic vision, a full package.

“Shaped To You” is a track that massages the ears with layers of shimmering pads, melancholic piano chords and, of course, the beautiful vocals of Enliza. The song is brought together with crisp, rolling drums and a bassline that gives a reassuring warmth. With such a solid composition and polished production, it’s hard to believe this is only Son’s 2nd ever release. Put simply - “Shaped To You” is an irresistible slice of ethereal liquid DnB that everyone needs in their life this Summer.

So here it is the beginning of my series of mixes called "Feels Volume 1" this mix took me a while to make, hardest mix i've done to date. its not perfect but hey who is!!

Prior to all my other mixes this mix was believe it or not the hardest mix i've compiled to date. I basically took the word feels entered it on google (I know right) my friend "Urban dictionary" said and i quote "A wave of emotions that sometimes cannot be adequately explained". having read such an explanation you can imagine how i tried incorporating such a meaning in a mix.

So i basically tried to make this mix as diverse as possible, because people experience feels from different drum and bass sub genres, whether it be Nerofunk, Jungle, Liquid ect. I really hope you enjoy this mix and it gives you the same emotions (Feels) i had whilst making this.

His solo appearances also include Addictshun, Sirensound, Low Frequency Love, Bass Culture and Tswaing Crater Gathering festival in Febuary 2014. Vito is a talented individual who is bound to turn heads in the near future with his uniquely fresh approach towards Drum & Bass.
