Written by me during the winter 2010 to my son Leon, this choro tries to express how subtle a child's reaction can be.

Recorded during the autumn 2012, at the Studio 2 at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, Sweden.

Choro de um Leão

Vitor started his career in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil playing electric guitar before he fell in love with the Brazilian musical tradition. He begun to play choro and classical music at the Villa-Lobos Music School and the Escola Portátil de choro (Choro School) before he started at the Music School of the Federal University in Rio de Janeiro where he took classes with Daniel Marques and Paulo Pedrassoli, among others. To start playing the 7 strings guitar became a natural move in this context and he started to make arrangements in different kinds of music to be able to use the whole range of the instrument. To play classical music is specially challenging. Right now he is based in Stockholm, Sweden where he studies classical guitar at The Royal College of Music with Peter Berlind and takes the 7 strings guitar to Europe's concert halls!
