Release Info: 
Following an already busy start to the year, which saw the launch of his label ‘We Are’, Axel Haube’s next EP ‘Vento Di Tramontana’ feat. Davide Famularo will arrive on ANII’s TOO GOOD tO DIE. The Belgian DJ/producer will be credited with the first release on the TGTD imprint not to be produced by label head, ANII. Emerging from the Antwerp scene of the late 00s, he’s developed his unassuming style as host of the balcony area of famed Belgian club Café d’Anvers, while frequently playing the club’s main room as well. Since then, he’s earned mainstage status playing for global brands such as Afterlife, Circoloco and Extrema Festival. With his studio endeavours arriving on labels such as Watergate Records, Petit Matin and Future Romance.

Whilst alluringly subtle, ‘Vento Di Tramontana’ still has the capacity to cause serious mainstage euphoria when played. Starting with a torte synth there’s a cavernous bass and drum pattern to usher in a stunning Italian vocal line that instantly increases the already breath-taking charm of the track. The variety of sounds and tones that swerve in and among the melody adds atmosphere and illustrates Haube’s potential for making exemplary melodic techno to be played both at home and in the club.

Where the original edit of ‘Vento Di Tramontana’ veers between delicate and tenacious in its sound design, Th;en’s remix is more direct. The haunting gusts of ambience still eerily rush beneath the vocals, fitting of the track’s title, however the drums, creaks and cracks have been modulated to hit harder.

Time Slave is a dramatic track with a grand architecture that sweeps you off your feet. The synths slowly rise up into epic forms and the drums hypnotise down low. Add in some edgy vocals and serrated stabs and you have utter dance floor carnage.
