That's the day I realized that there was this entire life behind things, and this incredibly benevolent force that wanted me to know there was no reason to be afraid, ever. Ursprünglich wollte @vitus-1 Bachhausen sich mit seinem neuesten Track musikalisch selbst therapieren: „In all meinen Arbeiten habe ich nämlich bisher immer dazu geneigt, sehr verkopft immer mehr Sound-Layers übereinander zu stapeln.“ Das fertige Konstrukt war zumeist ein relativ komplexes Gebilde, das gerade so am Rande des Chaos stand. „Jedenfalls habe ich genau das immer befürchtet. Mit diesem Track habe ich mir dann vorgenommen, deutlich klarere Strukturen zu schaffen: weniger Variation, mehr Repetition. Die Welt ist eh schon komplex genug. Nun ja, wie sich am Endprodukt zeigt, hat das nicht so wirklich funktioniert. Bis zum Schluss hin werden wieder fleißig Ebenen über Ebenen übereinander gestapelt, bis der Turm letztendlich in sich zusammen fällt.“ Getauft wurde das neue Werk mit dem Titel „Stuck In This Place“. Agoria asked last year if I wanted to do a remix from Oxia's "Domino".
Like many times in the past, I have chosen big songs, so that its double so hard to do my own interpretations. I took the offer and told myself "if you remix "Domino", then do it in a very smart and musical way". Not everyone who listens to both remixes will immediately recognize the song, because they are not focused on the peak time in the clubs or festivals. Instead, they are focused on the softer and loving moments on the dance floor. Don’t we need some of this in these times? #1 on the next dance charts in the USA would be nice… ☺
