This is a Brazilian version of the song Diamonds In The Dust composed by Øyvind Aarsnes. The groove and percussion is based on a traditional Afro-Brazilian rhythm called "Ijexá" (pronounced Ee-jay-sha).
 All income  - sales, donations and royalties generated by the song will be donated to the children's charity - Viva a Vida. 

  It was recorded at Sultan Sound Studio, Salvador, Brazil and was arranged, produced, engineered and mixed by David Yowell.  The project was started in September 2014 and after a break of several months, was completed in March 2015.

*Notes about Viva a Vida: 	Viva a Viva is a charity that has been operating for three years and is based in the suburb of Catu de Abrantes  15Km outside of the city of Salvador in the North Eastern state of Bahia, Brazil.
The principal role is to assist young people addicted to hard drugs, mostly crack cocaine, but they also give assistance and support to children and adolescents suffering from physical and sexual abuse as well as psychological problems.

Viva a Vida works in the prevention of drug abuse, creating educational, artistic, cultural and therapeutic opportunities to strengthen at risk adolescents, young people and children and enable them to make healthy choices for their lives.
	
Our work is based in Vila de Abrantes, a community where, sadly, many young people are murdered every month, due to drug abuse and/or dealing.  Despite this high risk context, there are very few services in the community to meet the needs of young people.

Viva a Vida provides classroom-based Drug Prevention workshops, runs a Theatre Group focusing on drug-related issues, facilitates a Youth-led Group which provides peer and community education about Drugs, Teenage Pregnancy, Bullying & SDTs/AIDS.  We also work with parents, teachers and other community members to offer holistic support young people in making healthy choices.
