Mikey V is a producer, DJ and vocalist from Los Angeles, California who has been a staple in the West Coast underground house scene since the early 2000's. While throwing LA's HAWT underground parties, Mikey signed his first 3 EP's to Luke Solomon & Derrick Carter's Classic Music Company in 2013. He has compiled a versatile discography of productions and vocal releases on labels such as Classic Music Company, Paradise, Robsoul, DFTD,  Snatch!, Hot Creations, Toolroom, Strictly Rhythm & Dirtybird.
Mikey has also collaborated with industry heavyweights such as Riva Starr, Oliver Dollar, DJ Sneak, Phil Weeks, Blakkat, Wheats, Brett Johnson & Nathan Barato.

This week we have none other than Matthew Brian up in the mix. 

Matthew Brian gets around. His love for music can be traced back to time well spent in Tennessee, Atlanta, Kansas City, and now San Diego.
Spending years of his life working in record stores, running record labels, organizing and promoting events he was able to surround himself in the music as well as the ins and outs of the industry.
With over 20 years of Dj experience, Matt has played all over the country with the top names in underground house like Derrick Carter, Paul Johnson, Mark Farina, Luke Solomon, and Dj Sneak to name a few. His weekly event, House Music Fridays is a staple in the house community and features top notch artists from all over the world.
As a producer he's established himself on labels like Sampled Recordings Detroit, Kolour Recordings, Late Night Jackin, Jump Recordings, 1200 TRAXX, & Great Lakes Audio. Most recently Matthew has teamed up with LA veteran Ricky Doubles as the production duo Matt N Ricky and they have a slew of projects produced in Matthew's SD studio soon to be released on a number of labels like Blackcherry Recordings, and Undaground Therapy Muzik.

Lucky #7 in my mix series features a Chicago OG who has moved to the year round nice weather in LA, but certainly has not forgotten his roots. J-Dub has been throwing down since the 90s, popping out at all the pioneering House venues (RedNo, Red Dog, & Shelter) as well as held a resident party with DJ Heather at the institutional mainstay, Smartbar. J-Dub's production resume takes no prisoners and showcases a prolific career as a vocalist.  Of late, J-Dub can be seen as a regularly featured guest on DJ Sneak's livestreams, or working the "desk" as Label Manager for Mark Farina's Great Lakes Audio Recordings. Founded in early 1998, the goal was to consistently put out records that would be loved and played by many in the house music community. Viva Recordings found success with its first debut from Johnny Fiasco and the with Rick Preston's Altruism EP, which gained notoriety when "Spring Fling" was featured on Mark Farina's San Francisco Sessions Vol.1. From these early releases the road was paved for Viva Recordings' success. Over the last few years we have been working on personal projects but now have decided to bring the label back and take the Viva name back.
