Crash

El Capitan are a South Coast four-piece playing some kind of semi-progressive indie rock type music.  We have been writing and rehearsing material as a full band since mid-2013, after a long, painful and energy-sapping musician recruitment process, which ultimately led to long sessions of expensive therapy.

Our lead singer and multi-instrumentalist Shaun has been putting together his own music for several years, and after he met lead guitarist James, they decided to work together to produce original, catchy music with a little bit of a quirk to it.

We tried a number of bass players, and eventually met Josh, who has the useful skill of classical piano hidden up his unusually long sleeve.  The really tricky part was finding a drummer, as is always the case, but we met drum teacher Jon, who happened to be a bit tasty with the sticks, and the final line-up of El Capitan was settled.  We are now enjoying writing, gigging and a spot of home recording to save our pennies for a holiday in Bournemouth.
