Before I start releasing all the original music I have in store I wanted to share a remix I've been playing in my sets for a few months now. For this one I tried to keep things clean and simple with a BIG low end. Hope you guys can dig it :)

British producer wAFF has been making waves in recent years, reflecting on a diligent 2015 spent playing across the likes of Europe, Africa, Asia and the States, when not making routine appearances at Paradise, Ibiza. As a producer he’s dropped several lauded releases on Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations imprint, not to mention Matthias Tanzmann’s Moon Harbour and Sven Väth’s Cocoon, with his next outing landing on renowned Swedish label Drumcode run by techno titan Adam Beyer.

Laying down hard hitting kicks from the off, ‘Holographic’ churns out an undulating synth combined with shuffling hats and a cavernous low-end, before ‘VibrationZ’ employs a low-slung groove fashioned from a sultry bassline, floating chords and sinister vocal. Tying it together, ‘Syncronistic’ is on a more heads down tip with whirring atmospherics, crunchy snares and subtle 303 squelches for a lengthy and mesmerising piece of production.

Detlef and Denney curate the fourth edition of the VIVa Warriors compilation, which is set for release on September 25th through Steve Lawler’s VIVa MUSiC.

Consistently at the forefront of the finest dance floor equipped and club ready productions, Steve Lawler’s VIVa Warriors events have rightfully cemented themselves in the premier tier of dance music’s party echelon. Each consecutive year, the renowned VIVa Warriors mix compilation showcases the finest offering of all things that the Warriors stand for. Now, it’s the turn of Greek born Alex Georgiadis aka Detlef, and British born Denney to masterfully weave an impeccable selection of dance floor certified tracks to the highest caliber.

"It all started with the idea to bring our friends together at a party, and that idea became VIVa Warriors. Now 4 years later, VIVa Warriors has become a universal thing, a part of everyone’s life, not only ours. I couldn't be happier to be a part of that, and provide with this compilation a small piece of the sound that's been played at Warriors. Both Detlef and Denney are intrinsic to the VIVa family, holding residencies at the party’s spiritual home of Sankeys Ibiza, along with numerous releases via the VIVa MUSiC imprint. Detlef, first bursting onto the scene back in 2008 has formed an undisputed repertoire of groove ridden cuts and bass driven melodies, whilst Denney’s illustrious catalogue of releases such as the 2015 hit ‘Low Frequency’ have gained him international recognition as one of electronic music’s most sought after acts.

Detlef’s mesmeric fifteen-track selection captures the unparalleled sound and vision of VIVa Warriors, fusing together elegantly composed basslines from the likes of Hauswerks’ ‘I Feel Like Jammin’ with a deeper ambient production style provided by Bunte Bummler’s ‘Demo Cassette’. An offering of exquisite variety, Detlef elevates the true essence of VIVa Warriors selecting Robert James’ ‘House Invader’ along with Latmun’s ‘Who’s That’ where the crisp percussion and distorted vocal samples will echo out through sound systems of clubs and festivals across the globe.

Procuring the second mix on the compilation, Denney’s unquantifiable track choice travels through a host of contrasting house and techno subgenres. Opening the mix with Audiojack’s deep and bass laden ‘Elevate’, Denney continues to demonstrate his undeniable talent as DJ. Whether it be from performing at the white isles most infamous venues, or on his home turf in the UK, Denney’s musical prestige shines brightly through the compilation. A staggering selection of productions from house heavy beats from the likes of Jey Kurmis & Shannon’s ‘Wonadoodle’, to closing the compilation with the fittingly funk infused ‘So High Acid (Acid Dub), perfectly exhibiting why this fourth edition marks yet another milestone in the VIVa Warriors mix compilation series.

Majesty storms in with his debut at Rawsome Recordings, presenting the absolutely boisterous “Blood Fire,” a house track so naughty that it will no doubt bring out your wild side. Bouncing rhythms amplified by a percussive bass line cause a sudden urge to lose all inhibition on the dance floor, as sirens and shouting vocals blast overtop the highly energized house beat. Majesty does well to capture the intensity of peak club atmospheres, and without pause “Blood Fire” burns with a nonstop ferocity. Be warned, this one’s not for the meek!

The neighbour's dog is barking again, and it jolts you awake. You check your phone for the time and find an email from someone which sparks enough intrigue to encourage a deeper read. A few words in you're already upright in bed hitting 'reply'. You hit 'send' and before you know it you're horizontal again, but you just can't get back to sleep because what you just replied to was a fire new demo.

Being part of the BOC family for quite some time, it was great to receive some fresh solo material from none other than @steveDarkomusic! The man famous for fur coats, beautiful women, rich arpeggiators and eel-like features had just delivered some absolute gems to us.

Shake That is a step away from Steve's typical dark synth structure and finds itself grooving along with a deep vocal loop, reassuring everyone to 'Shake What Yo Momma Gave Ya'. Blippin on the flip is a collaboration with oonagi, taking us on a journey into a dark place we may have only visited in some stranger's weird afterparty around 6am...

The big dog @astronomar has been commissioned to deliver an absolute whopping remix though. When we said flip it, he really did. Turning Shake That into a techno anthem!

This Ep is another reason why we here at BOC put Steve up on a pedestal that stands high up in the world of house music. Thanks for the music!

Started in October 2006 by Steve Lawler, VIVa Music began life as a conduit for the internationally renowned DJ and Producer to release the wealth of underground music he encountered on his travels.
