Anjunadeep star and This Never Happened boss Lane 8 aka Daniel Goldstein lands back on the label with the full release of ‘Anjunadeep 12’ favourite ‘Is This Our Earth?’.

Since sharing his debut album ‘Rise’ back in 2015, Daniel has cemented his reputation as one of electronic music’s most prolific and beloved artists. Establishing his own successful label and events brand This Never Happened back in 2016, where Daniel has uncovered and nurtured future stars of the scene such as Jerro, Avoure and Anderholm, he’s also released two career affirming follow up LPs; including 2018’s ‘Little By Little’ and his latest, 2020 acclaimed album ‘Brightest Lights’, which racked up over 100 million streams in its first year and was accompanied by a 50,000-ticket world tour, his most expansive to date.

Anjunadeep and This Never Happened alumnus Falden remixes gardenstate & GVN’s ‘Take Me There’.

Dutch instrumentalist Falden’s blend of house, indie and electronica has been supported by Above & Beyond, Oliver Heldens, Lane 8, Tritonal and more. Lane 8 signed him to his This Never Happened label in 2020, releasing his debut single ‘Don’t Wanna Know’ and the ‘One Day EP’. His most recent release is ‘So Far Away’ with Diana Miro, which opened Anjunadeep’s sixteenth Explorations EP in early 2021.

He’s now remixed ‘Take Me There’, the 700th release on Anjunabeats. It paired two breakout artists from our label, gardenstate & GVN.

gardenstate were formed after a chance meeting between Marcus Schössow and Matthew Felner. They’ve become a popular fixture on the label: ‘By Your Side’, ‘Surreal’, plus their raved-up take on Above & Beyond and Zoë Johnston’s ‘No One On Earth’ have all been well received. Marcus and Matt will be releasing much more music on Anjunabeats in 2021.

Gavin Brown, aka GVN, was introduced to Anjunabeats by Marcus Schössow in 2020. A record deal soon followed. His label debut ‘I Don’t’ was released in January 2021 on the first Anjunabeats Rising EP, quickly followed by ‘Back To Me / Ethereal’. Supported by Above & Beyond, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Third Party and more, he’s a star in the making. GVN will be joining us on our stage at Creamfields in summer 2021.

Earlier this year, emotive imprint Anjunadeep welcomed We Are The Brave label boss Alan Fitzpatrick to the fold with his single ‘Warning Signs’. A deviation from his typical sound, the track saw Fitzpatrick experiment with deeper and more soulful influences from across electronica, breakbeat, dub and house. The result was a track that sits comfortably among the soulful Anjunadeep catalogue. 

The track was followed by a standout remix from GRAMMY-nominated duo, CamelPhat, who took an eclectic approach to reworking ‘Warning Signs’. Having collaborated and remixed some of the biggest names in modern music, such as London Grammar, Foals’ Yannis Philippakis and Cristoph; CamelPhat have become one of the world’s most sought-after electronic acts. 

‘The Remixes’ package, out in July, features a new remix from Italian-born, Berlin-based duo, Mind Against. Stalwarts of Tale Of Us’ Afterlife label, the pair’s techno roots and flair for seamlessly mixing gentle percussion with vibrant synths makes for an emotive and stirring rework.

Started in October 2006 by Steve Lawler, VIVa Music began life as a conduit for the internationally renowned DJ and Producer to release the wealth of underground music he encountered on his travels. Now, just a few years later VIVa is a self-contained hotbed for new talent which draws attention from DJs, punters and producers alike. Having previously handled the now-classic and traditional vinyl label Harlem Records, Lawler decided VIVa was to be a forward thinking outlet for quality music and boldly announced that VIVa was to be digital only. As well as a clear mission to look towards the future of the music industry, this was a step to ensure that music could be released quickly and retain the freshness that the labels A&R was struck by. Far from the template set out by many of Lawler's contemporaries, VIVa quickly established itself as a label where artists could be themselves and write music that isn't defined by just A&R, but by one simple guideline: Quality. This has meant the label has gone on to release music from a wide range artists, from major players like Lawler and Audiofly through to burgeoning talent like Livio & Roby and Nicole Moudaber. In keeping with an ever evolving outlook, 2009 will see VIVa further transformed. Worldwide tour nights, Festival Arena, International Residency's and a new UK based residency at the legendary Ministry of Sound in London are just the tip of the iceberg. Always ones to buck trends, the VIVa family are pressing vinyl again alongside it's digital output as well as expanding its roster of relatively unknown talent rather than rely on the tried and tested. At the forefront of this exclusive roster of talent are the likes of Vrajitoroo, David Pher, Dragosh, Adroid Cartel, Jimmy Hill, Alex Tepper, TRNNSTR, Darius Syrossian & NYRA, Erphun and Sean Miller but VIVa will continue to work with what it considers extended family for both releases as well as remixes; which means the likes of Jamie Jones, Audiofly, Simon Baker, Tiefschwarz, Bearweasel, David Durango and many, many more.
