Showing their cards on young imprint Hiriko are dynamic Italian duo, M.F.S: Observatory. The brainchild of prolific Spanish producer, Ekai, will be releasing the ‘It’s The Same’ EP consisting of two powerful, and emphatic dance floor burners. 

Kicking things off is the bouncing rhythms of ‘It’s The Same’ a rolling track, that builds effortlessly in to an uplifting roar, and infective vocals, chewing you up and spitting you out on the other side with a thunderous kick and slick highs. A force to be reckoned with. 

With a slightly more laid back stricture comes ‘I Want You’ nodding towards a deep house tip. A punchy arrangement works its way around the high pitched sample which can be found echoing through the track. Think of warm summers day with an ice cold drink in your hand, absorbing this tribal-esque sound. 
 
Tight productions as ever from the M.F.S: guys, as they set to fill your summer with more fantastic music in 2020, and an exciting next chapter for Hiriko.

Started in October 2006 by Steve Lawler, VIVa Music began life as a conduit for the internationally renowned DJ and Producer to release the wealth of underground music he encountered on his travels. Now, just a few years later VIVa is a self-contained hotbed for new talent which draws attention from DJs, punters and producers alike. Having previously handled the now-classic and traditional vinyl label Harlem Records, Lawler decided VIVa was to be a forward thinking outlet for quality music and boldly announced that VIVa was to be digital only. As well as a clear mission to look towards the future of the music industry, this was a step to ensure that music could be released quickly and retain the freshness that the labels A&R was struck by. Far from the template set out by many of Lawler's contemporaries, VIVa quickly established itself as a label where artists could be themselves and write music that isn't defined by just A&R, but by one simple guideline: Quality. This has meant the label has gone on to release music from a wide range artists, from major players like Lawler and Audiofly through to burgeoning talent like Livio & Roby and Nicole Moudaber. In keeping with an ever evolving outlook, 2009 will see VIVa further transformed. Worldwide tour nights, Festival Arena, International Residency's and a new UK based residency at the legendary Ministry of Sound in London are just the tip of the iceberg. Always ones to buck trends, the VIVa family are pressing vinyl again alongside it's digital output as well as expanding its roster of relatively unknown talent rather than rely on the tried and tested. At the forefront of this exclusive roster of talent are the likes of Vrajitoroo, David Pher, Dragosh, Adroid Cartel, Jimmy Hill, Alex Tepper, TRNNSTR, Darius Syrossian & NYRA, Erphun and Sean Miller but VIVa will continue to work with what it considers extended family for both releases as well as remixes; which means the likes of Jamie Jones, Audiofly, Simon Baker, Tiefschwarz, Bearweasel, David Durango and many, many more. Charlie Price is a 21 Year Old House & Disco DJ based here in London.
Having originally starting all the way down in beautiful Cornwall, Charlie’s ambitions have taken him further than expected!

Charlie started to DJ back in late 2019. It wasn’t until the first Covid Lockdown happened, where Charlie decided to hop over to Twitch and join DJ’s who were streaming at the time such as: The Shapeshfters, Sam Divine, Jellybean Benitez, Defected Records and many more!
Charlie took it into his own hands and decide he wanted to do the same and he did!
He built up a small community on his own twitch channel and would regularly DJ for that community live from his bedroom!
His energy and love for music is what people were drawn to.

2020 came around and the whole world eventually was locked down, meaning streaming became huge!!
He was inspired by ‘The Shapeshifters’s Sunday Service’ & ‘Sam Divine’s Divine Tribe’ that he thought he would set up a Twitch Stream weekly and for approximately a year, this became a Saturday stream called ‘Saturday Revolution’ and it went down so well.

He had also originally organised a charity event in aid of the charity ‘Mind’ in which he had asked a load of other twitch DJs to do an hour to 2 hours of streaming and at the end of the night he and the group of DJs had raised over £700 for Mind!

Fast forward to 2021. Charlie was kindly invited to Ministry of Sound for Glitterbox in London. He got to meet his Idols, The Shapeshifters, Simon Dunmore, Melvo Baptiste and many more. It was his first ever time in such a club event and he was inspired and it set him on course for the start of his journey into the industry.

Charlie has networked and become friends with some of House & Disco Music’s finest DJs/Producers such as: Michael Gray, The Shapeshifters, Jellybean Benitez, Sam Divine, Melvo Baptiste, Aline Rocha, Mike Dunn, Hifi Sean, Seamus Haji and so many more who have seen Charlie’s journey and continue to show support and continue to show him the way!

Whilst being a student at Access Creative College between 2021-2023, he has won the Local and National DJ award for his passionate mixes with one specifically chosen by Point Blank Music and that mix is a ‘Salsoul Tribute’ and is in his mixes on this page.

Late September 2023. Charlie had moved away from Cornwall to study at Point Blank Music School for a Music & Sound Engineering Degree. Since moving to London, Charlie has had so many opportunities including: A Residency at The Pregnant Man Bar in Chancery Lane, Played at multiple events at Brixton Jamm Supporting the likes of: Jess Bays, Mas Que Nada, Route 94 and many more. He has more recently played for: The Disco Express, Late Night Disco, Pub in the Park Festivals, Blue Marlin Ibiza London and many more!

Charlie has been super lucky to have joined Michael Gray for his Mastermix Show on Mi-Soul Radio and provided a 30 minute guest mix which has opened more opportunities for Charlie.
He has also been on Select Radio with James Foxx and has done guest mixes for The Disco Express too!

If anything, Charlie’s biggest achievement so far on his journey has been very recently.

Charlie had a message from The Shapeshifters asking him to warm him up at his London date at Stereo in Covent Garden. It was a full circle moment for Charlie considering 4-5 years prior, he was watching and idolising him from his bedroom streams.
Charlie warmed The Shapeshifters up with a 2-Hour Warm up set in which he did Shapes proud and the crowd were just as impressed.
Later that night, The Shapeshifters invited Charlie for a Back to Back DJ Set. What a Moment!
