Nat Rework (Den Sorte Skole)

Solid Steel (27th September) DK opens hour 1 with new music from Solid Steel favourites Cid Rim and Four Tet, with a track from his forthcoming album 'Beautiful Rewind'. Mark Pritchard storms in with '1,2,3,4' alongside the Ragga Twins, giving an authentic nod to 90's rave and that continues with two from Tessela and the Champion remix of Kool FM by Four Tet. We drop down with Baishe Kings and Dobie, both on Big Dada and onto a trio of heavy jazz hitters from Harold McKinney, Stone Alliance and Doug Carn. Then it's two off the excellent Fulgeance album, new Technicolour signing Samuel, classic house from the recent Trax retrospective and 80's boogie from Wickett.

Having a belief that I have my own musical language, when working on this project from the off I realised it was a great opportunity for me to return to my Balearic roots and still keep my original vibe alive of bringing something ‘eclectic, exotic & electronic’ to your willing ears. I believe I have not only achieved that but also produced something unique & true to the original Balearic ethos !! I hope ‘Pathaan Playlist’ will be special for your headspace, in your heart & for your feet as it is for me.

Hence, when the invitation very kindly came from the lovely people of Bestival to create a Bestimix, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to introduce ‘The Guru’ to you and the Bestival massive !

Just so you know, I have fantasised about dropping this kind of set on the main stage to get the revellers into a ‘party fuelled hedonistic state of mind’  at both Bestival & Camp Bestival before an act, after dark ever since the inaugural years’ :)
