PØLI and Lorenzo Raganzini's HEX Recordings returns with its first Various Artists release, entitled ‘Deviant Misbehaviours Vol. 1’. Since its inception in March 2019, the imprint has been synonym with the most extreme spheres of the Techno scene, presenting a recurrent post-apocalyptic sound through the genre's diverse sonic fields.
For its fourth release, the Barcelona based label welcomes 11 artists from 6 different countries for a 10 track compilation with some of the label’s mainstays, new players and old school legends.

A+W regular Codex Empire opens with squelchy bass and an EBM drive on ‘Primary Function’, while crunchy snares, distorted Moog leads and delayed hats take over in Samot’s ‘Night Shift’. Joton delivers a percussive, fantastic groove with a screeching lead synth in ‘Empty Town’.

Then, label backbone VII Circle thunders with sinister hardcore synths in the uncanny ‘Relentless Fight’, Georgian newcomer Downwell presents ‘Out From Your Pain’, a harsh and EBM/Industrial piece, to leave the French uprising talent Julian Muller take things into the bright side with the trancey synth line and fresh melody of 'Stigmat'.

Founders PØLI and Lorenzo Raganzini return to represent the imprint after two releases, to deliver the punishing ‘Human Nature’, with relentless kicks, haunting voices and spacey stabs, while Surit brings in 909-like percussions and destroyer leads on ‘Broken Flags’.

‘Thief Of Joy’ from the Greek artist Jerm rounds things up with thumping old school bass, to leave the newcomer Dahlia close proceedings with the emotional, EBM infused ‘Lost In Everett’s Realities’.

Expect high-octane, merciless tones on this hard pounding and raving Techno compilation.

An exciting first guest appearance on Crisis Of Man comes this November from US producer and DJ, Sara Landry, making her debut with ‘Enemy Inside’, a collab release with label boss Selective Response.

Known for her dark, atmospheric productions and impeccable sound design, Sara Landry is fast becoming one of the most exciting names in Industrial Techno, gaining the support of artists including Perc, Cera Khin, Nico Moreno, Cassie Raptor and Blicz. This year Sara has moved from strength to strength as she was named on Beatports Radar list before dropping a mind-bending mix for Paris based Techno outlet RAW. 

‘The Devil Inside’ marks a new stage in Sara’s development. The track kicks off with a heavy kick and fast paced percussive rhythm. Sara’s trademark use of abstract sound design breaks up the groove as she skilfully marries together unrelenting synth bursts with bellowing vocal samples.

‘Enemy Within’ is a track many might recognise, after being heavily circulated in Dax J’s sets for the last 12 months. Its gritty textures, tight percussion and no-frills energy capture the ear of the listener immediately.

Together, this release showcases rave music for a new generation.

We are very pleased to share our newest and particularly refined VA.
Once again, we gathered some top-notch artists to please the most intense hard-techno desires.
Here they all perfectly demonstrate how hard, dark and profound basses can be melted harmoniously. Combining highly rhythmic kicks to heavy drums, this VA nevertheless doesn’t lack a joyful and energetic vibe through its melodious ambiance.
Thanks to those very talented artists, this project is our most vehement compilation so far regarding its brutality and intensity. Its listening will most likely cause high techno fever and strong emotions.
