This track embodies the process of making this album; a project littered with do-overs and self-doubt. Titled 'Companions,' it reflects on our understanding of how human connections play an important, albeit unpredictable, role in the creation of music. People may leave, others may join unexpectedly, but it's the ones who stay that help us find the sound we were meant to explore.

Hörhön Saral (Ponies) -- feat. 傲日其愣

There's an ancient saying in Inner Mongolia that has been passed down from generation to generation: 'Ponies are cute but they're ruthless; they need guidance to behave.' Yider pens this wisdom in the form of a Mongolian Long Song with a twist of Malian blues. He applies percussions that replicate the rhythm of horse clip-clopping, retelling the story of the elders passing down their wisdom to the youth, and expressing his love for West African musical elements.
